Dura-Tech® Overhead Aisle Tie

Tie From Above and Keep the Aisle Open

Cross ties block the aisle: people duck, horses can't pass, and a horse held from both sides can feel trapped. This 17-foot overhead rope hangs one tie (or two) from above, so traffic flows and the horse stands easier.
1
Nobody Ducks, Everybody Passes
The tie comes from above instead of across, so people and horses move through the aisle at shows, at home or at a boarding barn.
2
Less Panic Than Two-Sided Ties
Horses don't feel trapped the way they can when tied from both sides with conventional cross ties.

3
Brass Fittings That Adjust
Heavy-duty MCR rope with brass bindings against fraying, adjustable brass slides at both ends and in the center.
4
Fits Aisles up to 14 Feet
Wrap each end around a beam or stall support and hook the bolt snap to the brass fitting. Trailer or stall tie not included.

Saw this at a horse show and immediately pulled out my phone to order one for my barn. I love how the ties hang down so there's no searching the side aisle to see where your crosstie landed when you unhooked.

One Rope Overhead, a Clear Aisle Below

The Aisle Tie is a unique system that solves the problem of aisle traffic at shows, at home or boarding stables. Aisles can quickly become congested, horses can’t pass and people have to duck under conventional cross ties. By using this system, there is one or two (optional) tie(s) coming from above so people can pass through freely, horses can pass and horses don’t feel trapped by conventional ties pulling on both sides. This system consists of a 17’ MCR rope with adjustable brass fittings at both ends and in the center. Each end of the rope wraps around an upper beam or stall support and is secured by hooking the heavy duty bolt snap to an adjustable brass fitting at each end.
  • Single overhead tie system eliminates aisle traffic at shows, at home or at boarding stables
  • Constructed of heavy duty MCR rope with brass bindings to prevent fraying
  • Brass adjustable slide hardware on both ends and in the center offers excellent durability
  • Heavy duty bolt snaps fasten to the brass fittings to secure the aisle tie to the overhead support
  • Reduces panic since horses don’t feel trapped as when tied on both sides with conventional ties
  • Each end is wrapped around a beam or stall support and then secured to the adjustable brass hook
  • Fully adjustable and will fit most aisles up to 14’ wide
  • Trailer tie/stall tie not included
  • 17’ long
  • The rope should be tight above the aisle and the center ring adjusted accordingly to the center of the rope so one or two (optional) standard trailer tie(s) or stall tie(s) (not included) can be attached. The Aisle Tie can be used anywhere and will fit aisles up to 14’ wide.

Innovative way to cross-tie

"I have used this system a few times. I will say that one of my horses is a little skittish seeing the cross ties hanging down on each side, but he is okay with it. Sometimes depending on where you are you may need a step stool to reach up to attach the leads."

I don't know about buying it again and again but might buy

"The easy quick release is good when at shows and other horses and riders need to get through. I also didn't realize it came with 2 trailer ties ( I thought one) so ordered ties I didn't need."

— Genelle (4/5)

Portable Ties for Horse Shows

"I was a tad confused how to use it the first time, but once I got it up it was INCREDIBLE for horse shows! It's so easy to throw up and have a portable way to tie horses at shows. I love how the cross tie rings don't slide or swing. I'll probably buy another set so we can have two horses groomed/tacking up at shows!"
