"It is SO difficult to find a pad that helps prevent slipping both between the saddle and the pad, as well as the pad and the horse. So often, to do so, one ends up layering multiple types of pads and the whole combination just creates so much distance from your body and that of the horse. I was so glad when I found this pad, and found it to -be more supportive and protective than I actually expected. Word to the wise: when brand new or freshly washed, it is a bit hard to girth up as it feels pretty thick, so plan to drop your girth a hole or so when you initially buckle up. It will settle down and fit flush against the horse so not to worry. It washes beautifully. My first pad had a minor flaw in the front binding, and when I brought it to Schneider's attention, they immediately replaced it. I highly recommend this pad well over pads 3X this price point."
