Key benefits

The Best Insect Protection a Fly Boot Can Offer

The Mosquito Mesh® Fly Boot is made from a 350D extra-fine window screen mesh that provides playful draft horses the best fly protection against flying insects, such as gnats, mosquitos, and flies. The 40% UV protection keeps their legs safe in the sun, while the mesh allows for exceptional air circulation and doesn't heat up in the sun, keeping them cool and sweat-free.

Everything You Need to Know About Fly Boots

Non-Fitted Design for Extra Airflow

Non-fitted boots are designed to fit around the top and bottom of the boot to keep flies out while staying off the leg, allowing for exceptional airflow. These are a favorite for those who live in warmer climates. Since the boot stays off the leg and keeps flies away, some love to use this style if their horse is recovering from a leg injury. You don’t have to worry about these boots slouching, you’ll find that the full-length hook and loop closure down the cannon bone, flexible stays, and fleece-lined top and bottoms keep the boots upright during wear.

Made to Withstand Your Playful Draft Horse

The Mosquito Mesh® Fabric is made to withstand your playful draft. Since the flexible stays keep this boot upright, you can turn them out knowing they’ll be protected from biting bugs and stay comfortable all season.

Full-Length Reflective Side Panels

A full-length reflective side panel adds an additional safety element for low light and night turnout and trail riding.

Fly Boots

"Overall I like these fly boots. They are light weight and easy to clean. The Velcro is super strong so they stay on. It would be nice if they had ones for the hinds be a little longer. My horse has DSLD so the ones on his hinds are bent because his leg shape is a little drooped. But they work well even so, just would like the hinds to be longer to accommodate. My friend said theirs have last multiple seasons on their horses. If that works out for me too, then they are well worth the cost."

Best fly boot design yet!

"After using a couple other styles, this one is the most comfortable and works the best. There isn’t any fake fleece to hold onto burrs. It stays up and on. I will order these fly boots again."

Mare loves these!

"My mare always seems uncomfortable in fly boots, but she has such a problem with bites that we try to kelp them one her. These were a game changer! They’re light, breathable, non-constricting, and they are effective with keeping flies and bugs off. They stay up perfectly; I wondered about that before purchasing. Great product!"

"Love these fly boots. They have saved my horses hooves. I have several pair for each horse. They wash up and hold up great! I just wish they came in mini horse sizes! I would definitely recommend for any one who wants to protect their horses from flies!"

Janet E. (5/5)

Great fly boots!

"This is the second time I bought these boots. They are non-fitted which makes it easier. They stay up and they clean up easily for continuous use. Also they last and keep the flies off my horse’s legs."

Mosquito mesh fly boots are the best

"These fly boots last me several seasons, they are cool, but yet they stay up. And the colors are nice. And the Velcro is great. , it stays closed."

Madalene M. (5/5)

Helps reduce stomping for flies

"I purchased fly boots for my horses after noticing that their hooves were starting to crack from stomping flies, and upon receiving reccomendations from others. The fly boots work great! They decrease stomping, stay on, and no rub marks!"

Kathleen H. (5/5)

Fly boots

"These are 10/10. I've ordered so many different fly boots over the years and these are by far my (and my entire barns) favorite. They don't rub. They stay on. They last long (and my horse is out 24/7). These were especially helpful when my horse had some pastern dermatitis, bc these were the only boots that didn't rub or make the sores worse. These will continue to be the boots I return to and I'd recommend them to anyone in the market!"

Laura F. (5/5)

I have my horse for

"I have my horse for 22 years and got him as a yearling. Many, many years of all sorts of fly boots. I was reluctant to get these as I was very use to Velcro adhering type of boots and could not get over this new invention. I’ve now purchased three sets so that says it all. No interference on any parts of the leg to worry if too tight or too loose. They are holding up incredibly well for day and night turn with rolling, running and whatever else goes on during night turnout. No bites no rubs — Schneiders has done a bar none design that I can rest easy he is super comfortable! Many thanks for all your thoughts and efforts for my so loved steed!!"

Sharon F. (5/5)

Quality reduced

"Have been buying these ever since they came out in 2017. Loved them until this year. Would last about 4 years! Told others to make sure to buy SSTack & not the cheap ones. Last year I bought 2 sets of the grey ones! Have used both once and the stitches are coming loose! No longer worth the price!"
