The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. "My Warmblood gelding is very hard on Flysheets This material is ballistic but he seems to be comfortable in it. The only issue I had was that the rear strap for the belly band was too short and had to be extended to fit him. It seems to be sized for a slim or slab sided horse. "This is a very nice fly sheet - it is very well made and substantial, it looks like it will be durable over the long haul. It is heavier than some that I have had (which makes it more durable) but so far does not seem to be overly warm (despite unusually warm spring weather). I will have to report back later whether it is cool enough for summer. But overall, I really like the coverage it provides and the fit on my solidly-build half-bred Connemara.
