The unique V-Free® Wither Relief fit prevents rubbing and relieves pressure on low to moderate-withered. Our V-Free® Wither Relief fit is designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on low to moderate-withered horses. Featuring a naturally sloped shoulder for balanced movement and comfort, this fit is designed for horses with a moderately defined, shorter wither structure and a strong, well-muscled topline from wither to croup. The V-Free® wither covers the wither and ends where the mane starts, leaving the mane uncovered while helping protect the wither from rubs and pressure points. The drop on these blankets is longer than a stable blanket, allowing a slight wrap around the barrel. Darts at the hip form a contoured fit around the rump.

How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"Best blanket ever. Durable. Warranty. Fit. Washable. There is a reason that I have 4 of these blankets. My only complaint is that I wish they had one or two other colors so I can tell the horses apart while wearing neck covers and blankets."
"First time purchase from Schneiders. Bought on the recommendation of customer service after sending them photos of my guy. He’s a big boy, and I was having a difficult time finding something appropriate..Well, this sheet fits him like a glove, and the quality is exceptional!! I couldn’t be happier!"
"It fits great, easy to adjust and the material is nice. The only problem I have is that it ripped quickly... I'm not sure the lifetime warranty is going to actually be a lifetime. I have a feeling it'll be 2 blankets. And for the price, I wouldn't purchase again."
"This is my all time favorite blanket. I keep coming back to it for my mare. She gets fungus easy under blankets & this has done well for her to avoid it through the winter months. I'll keep returning to this blanket."
"Great quality. look for thier sales."
"This blanket is not made as well as previous blankets purchased from Schneiders. Shortly after using it a leg strap came unstitched. I am not as happy with this product as I was with other blankets."
"high quality. watch for sales."
"We have over 10 horses and we will always use these blankets! They hold up to everything and the customer experience is great! We've never had issues with these blankets and our guys can be pretty rough on blankets."
"We have tried several different blankets, from lightweight, midweight, senior fits and heavy weight all from Schneider over the years. This blanket by far is the best we have experienced. We currently have 5 lightweight and 5 midweight and when compared to previous ones it's simply superior. Temperature regulates great for our horses, never too hot and always warm and cozy when its really cold. One of our horses loves to tug and pull, but the Armorflex has held up to the wear and tear."
"Best thing I bought my horse last year. It was very cold most the winter. With her a lot nsulin resistance, it is not important to keep his weight is n check at least he was warm."
