Key benefits

Durable, Breathable, and Protective Fabric

These fly boots are made from our most durable 1000D heavy poly/vinyl Dura-Mesh fabric that provides better airflow due to the open weave of the boots and 70% UV protection. The fabric offers insect protection that is best at protecting your horse from medium to large-sized flies, such as deer flies, greenheads, and horse flies.

Everything You Need to Know About Fly Boots

Non-Fitted Design for Extra Airflow

Non-fitted horse boots are designed to fit around the top and bottom of the boot to keep flies out while staying off the leg, allowing for airflow. These are a great option for all climate types. Since the boot stays off the leg and keeps flies away, some love to use this style if their horse is recovering from a leg injury. You don’t have to worry about these boots slouching, you’ll find that the full-length hook and loop closure down the cannon bone, flexible stays, and fleece-lined top and bottoms keep the boots upright during wear.

All About Durability

When you have a playful horse, it can sometimes feel like you’re constantly losing fly boots. So, next time your horse plays rough in the pasture, you can keep calm, knowing that their durable fly boots protect them.

Reviews

good quality for the price

"They are good boots the one drawback i will have to say is that if you aren't on perfectly at least on my donkeys legs they will slip off, but with the color they are easy to spot, maybe make the pony size a little smaller like width wise though, overall good boots."

I was very happy with

"I was very happy with those boots. They’re the best fitting ones. I’ve had so far that the poop didn’t fall down in them. But a couple years ago I bought some rain sheets and they leaked right through so I just felt like I wasted my money on them"

Great for DSLD Mare

"This is my second season buying these fly boots for a mare with DSLD. They seem to hold up, although by the end of fly season they are worse for wear; the plastic strips that provide rigidity get bent and the mesh starts to fray. Still, for the most part they stay up and do their job. I like that there is soft material at the top and bottom where it makes contact with her leg, and that they flex enough to not cause any rubs even with her incorrect morphology but still sturdy enough to make it through a season."

“Happy, Stomp-Free Mules: Fly Boots That Truly Protect and Comfort”

"I’ve been using fly boots on my mule Arnie for a while now and started on Gemma Mule for this season. And the difference has been incredible. Before, they would constantly stomp and get irritated from flies biting at their lower legs. Since putting the boots on, they’re noticeably more relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. The boots do a great job preventing fly bites to the legs, especially in those hard-to-protect areas around the fetlocks and cannon bones. The material is breathable, so even on warm days my mules don’t seem bothered wearing them, and I haven’t had issues with overheating or rubbing. They’re also surprisingly durable and stay in place well, even with active animals moving around pasture. Overall, these fly boots have been a simple but highly effective solution to keep my mules protected, comfortable, and stress-free during fly season."

Fly boots

"These hold up nicely and wash easily! I wash them in my clothes washing machine! Many times I can match them with the fly sheet! Beautifully color coordinated!"

Dura mesh non fitted fly boots

"Love these. They’re breathable and don’t cause irritation. I left them on my horse all summer and they are still in good enough condition to use this year. Very sturdy and well made."

Jane W. (5/5)

Fly boots

"I love these boots. They work, the price is right and they last. Not junk. QUALITY"

KATE L. (5/5)

The wraps worked to keep

"The wraps worked to keep the flies off, but did not fit my Arabian mare very well. They could be kicked off easily on her hind legs. I liked the soft top and bottom closing."

Becky S. (5/5)

Great fly boots

"The non fitted fly boots have been a game changer for our mare. They fit her legs and protect her from the biting insects!"

Jane D. (5/5)

Great for my OTTB

"I tried two other types of fly boots before these, the others I tried rubbed her legs. These don’t rub. They do scrunch and fall down a little, but they cover the part of the leg I need."
