Product Guide – EOR Strips Application & Use Guide

EOR Equine Oral Recovery (EOR) Metabolite Strips are designed to support hydration, performance, and recovery through rapid absorption via the gums. Because they’re different from traditional supplements, proper preparation and application help ensure the best results.

Application Tips

• Patience is key: It may take a few tries to find what works best for your horse.
• Don’t force it: If your horse resists gum application, start with the bit method.
• Warm the strips first: Place the sealed packet in the sun for a few minutes. A warm strip is pliable and easier to use.

Application Methods

Gum Application

If the strip is pliable, apply directly. If brittle, soften first.

To soften:

• Place sealed packet in a warm area (dashboard in sun), or
• Lightly moisten by dipping briefly in water or adding a small amount of water into the packet.

Apply the strip directly to the upper or lower gum (based on your horse’s tolerance) and allow it to dissolve naturally.

Bit Application

• Moisten strip so it can adhere to itself.
• Wrap around the mouthpiece of the bit.
• Tack up as usual — strip dissolves during use.

When to Use EOR Strips

• Before, during, or after training or competition
• Hauling or travel recovery
• Weather changes affecting water intake
• After vet visits or stress events
• Any time hydration support is needed

What If the Strip Breaks?

If a strip cracks during application, it can still be used. Press the pieces gently onto the gums. If strips seem consistently brittle, warm the packet before use or contact customer service.
