An 8-ounce, 4-way stretch lycra body that starts behind the ears and covers to the tail, for horses that will not tolerate a hood: no ears, no eye holes, no face seams. Nothing on the face
The slicker begins behind the poll, so there are no ears to rub, no eye holes to slip and no face seams. Horses that fight a hood wear this one. The extra length in the neck keeps it in place.

A throat you can adjust
A 2-inch flat elastic band encased in the lycra closes at the throat with hook and loop, so you set the size; two fingers should fit under it. The full separating YKK zipper opens from chest to throat.

A wide bellyband with no-snag hook and loop moves with your horse and stays put. The split tail cover protects the tail from rubs and lets a high tail set move, and 1-inch elastic leg straps with chrome-plated snaps hold the back.

Schneiders has done it again, with the well designed "Faceless Slicker." The innovative design eliminates the over the eyes and ears portion of the slicker and is much safer to use, while still providing all of the benefits of the hood. It stays up on the neck better than similar products and the fabric has basically eliminated the dreaded shoulder rubs. The hook and loop closure belly band is much better than plastic buckles as it never fails. The coat on my horses has never been better and the breathable fabric keeps them comfortable.

Kodachrome is a very large Friesian paint Cross and he needed a slicker to keep him clean prior to our shows. Wanted to like this but….

"Was super excited when this arrived. Unfortunately the sizing chart wasn't accurate for my 17. 3 HN/TB. The article when fitted wouldn’t stay below the shoulders and behind the withers as designed … it would only creep up the neck. It would work great as an equine neckie :). Sent it back. I much prefer the design with the fabric secured between the legs with the surcingle clip that I’ve used on my other horses. On the positive side, it appeared to be made the good quality."

"Blankets were rubbing my mare's shoulders bald. Her hair grew back in quickly and she has had no more bald spots. The fit of the shoulder guard is really good and uses a velcro belly band to keep it in place. It is well made as are most all items I have purchased from Schneider's.
