Now you can get the most comfortable-fitting fly mask with reflective trim along the mask and on the hook and loop closure for additional safety precautions. This fly mask without ears combines our 350D extra fine “window screen” nylon mesh with a Lycra material jaw, allowing your horse to move their jaw naturally without restriction while keeping bugs out - ensuring the most comfortable fit for all-day wear. With no ear coverage, this is a perfect option for horses with ears that may be sensitive to touch since the mask slides over their nose and hooks around their poll. The X-Spand® mask also blocks up to 40% of the sun’s damaging UV rays while providing plenty of airflow to ensure your horse is happy.

This fly mask combines our 350D extra fine “window screen” nylon mesh with our patented X-Spand® lycra jaw, creating the MOST COMFORTABLE fitting fly mask. The lycra jaw is form-fitting, leaving no gaps for flies. It allows your horse to move their jaw naturally without restriction, providing insect protection against small biting insects, like gnats and midges, and medium-sized insects, like stable and deer flies. It’s well-fitted with wide eye darts, offers better airflow for horses that live in moderate to warm climates, and provides 40% UV protection.

If your horse has sensitive ears, they may be irritated by fly masks with ear coverage. This mask WITHOUT Ears provides your horse with the same great insect protection to their face and eyes but keeps their ears free, allowing your horse to be more comfortable. This mask slides over their nose and secures on their poll like a halter with a hook and loop closure. Sensitive horses may prefer that to a mask that goes over the ears.

"My gelding is hyper-sensitive to bug bites and has worn this mask for 3 summers, and gets great protection on his face"
"I have two of these fly masks. There are so many reasons to love them — the visibility for my senior and no restriction to the jaw when grazing. The downside is that that stretch material disintegrates over time. I’ve had the masks for one full summer and now we’ve finished the second summer but the masks are done because the Lycra has slowly fallen apart. It’s a pricey mask for short life span. Concept is great — hope they improve the material under the jaw."
"fits well, holds its form well, my horse loves it! The under the jaw stretch material is not a sweaty hard mess like other masks and the top velcro is really adjustable."
"I have lost several fly masks, but so far my mare hasn't been able to get this one off! In fact I think she may even like it. The Velcro over the poll is genius, and the stretchy jaw makes a world of difference as far as fit goes. She has a petite little face and this mask fits her to a T and protects her from bugs. She does get sweaty under the fleece, but we live in Houston so there's no way to avoid the heat. I'm very pleased with this mask!"
"I like this mask a lot. I typically buy the stretchy bug eye style but wanted to explore this style. I like the stretch under the jaw to not impede natural chewing. The fit issue is that my mare has a big-boned head, big eyes, and long eyelashes (she’s an Iberian / mustang cross), and this was touching her eyes too much. If you have a horse with a more delicate-boned head or smaller eyes this would be a great option. I’m keeping it and storing it in my stash of horse stuff for a future horse, lol. For my mare I’ll stick with the bug-eye ones; I bought one those from Schneiders with a butterfly print and we love it! Much more durable than the main competitor."
"Fits great, easy to put on and best of all it washes well!!!"
"My horse is picky about fly masks, and has an unusual sized head. This has been the mask he likes best. Not having the Velcro on the bottom makes it a little awkward to put on but the stretchy soft material there seems to make the comfort difference for the horse. I think the blue mesh may also be something my horse prefers, maybe it is easier to see through? My only complaint is the white fleece trim - instantly not white anymore! lol."
"Love this new mask! Fits best on my QH gelding. With the forelock saver even better. Please make one with a nose too!"
"Nice fly mask, the stretch panel on the bottom is heavy duty. I was a little disappointed with the quality, but its breathable. I did expect it to be a little more durable but overall its nice. I have a horse that is in between cob and Full and this is too big on her but I can at least make the Velcro tighter overall cool concept!"
"The mask is a very cool concept and I love every aspect. I have 2 warmbloods and an OTTB - this mask does not fit any of my horses unfortunately and even impedes the eyelashes on both my warmbloods. I had to return these items - would buy them again but they do not offer larger sizing."
