"My 7 year old quarter horse gelding Dash loves his hay and eats too fast, so it is easy for Dash to get bored in his stall. I purchased the Slow Feed Hay Ball as both an activity for Dash and to slow down his consumption of hay during the day (he has night turnout). Dash likes to play with toys. The Slow Feed Hay Ball is working perfectly for Dash! He manages to completely empty the ball and eats every piece of hay. I find the ball in different areas of his stall. Dash likes to pick up items. I have not seen him pick up the ball yet. He also likes to paw at things. Fortunately, Dash has not seemed interested in stomping on the ball. "It took my horse a couple days to figure it out and get into the idea of his meal coming from it. I think he was frustrated the first couple days. But now he has the hang of it everything is good. It adds a little bit of meal time compared to the hay net. The ball itself is easy to fill, durable. We live on a slope so it lands in the same place everyday, but i imagine on flat ground the path could be more variable. So far it adda some exercise both mental and physical to his routine."
