A waterproof 1200 denier ripstop polyester outer with wider binding and reinforced stitching, built to stand up to everyday wear and tear. A 3M Teflon coating adds to the waterproofing, durability and stain resistance. Rated Level 4, Active Playful. Waterproofing is rated to 15,000 mm.

Crisscross Surcingles, Leg Straps and Gussets
Crisscross surcingles pass under the belly for greater stability. Detachable elastic leg straps keep the blanket from turning, and come off for cleaning or replacement. The extended gussets let your horse move freely.

A large tail cover gives extra protection from wind and rain. A reflective stripe runs across it, so your horse is easier to pick out in low light.

How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

I donât have to pull it forward to relieve the pressure. The material is tough and waterproof, and is slick against her fur so she doesnât fight with it to move. Iâve been really happy with it and plan to get her a heavyweight too. Two minor negatives are that the padding on the rump allows the blanket to get slightly off center since she still has a round rump, but it is only slight. And the second is I wish the blanket hung down longer to provide more coverage under her belly. Overall I am really happy with this blanket and have suggested it to my friends with senior horses."
