Tough 1 Easy Breathe Deluxe Grazing Muzzle - Pony

The Tough 1 Easy Breathe Deluxe Grazing Muzzle comes in a Pony size, which fits most standard ponies well. However, customers recommend measuring your pony's face if they're between sizes—one reviewer with a 38" Shetland found the pony size worked better than the mini despite initial uncertainty. The muzzle includes adjustable V-straps and cross straps to customize the fit for your individual pony.

Yes, the Easy Breathe design features large nostril holes that allow uninterrupted breathing through the muzzle, making it especially suitable for warmer summer days when airflow matters most. Multiple reviewers specifically praised the comfortable breathing design and noted that their horses adjusted well to wearing it during pasture turnout.

The muzzle includes padding at the crown and jawline for added comfort and is designed to minimize rubbing. Several customers reported success with this muzzle after trying other brands that caused chafing, particularly praising how the basket shape suits different face structures without creating pressure points.

The muzzle features nylon web construction designed to prevent tearing and ensure long-lasting use. While most customers report good durability for the price, one reviewer noted the rubber grazing area wore through after one season with heavy use, so durability may depend on your horse's individual chewing intensity and turnout conditions.

Yes, the small opening at the bottom of the muzzle allows your horse to drink water and eat comfortably while still limiting grass and hay intake. This design makes it suitable for extended pasture turnout without needing to remove the muzzle during the day.

The muzzle includes a breakaway feature for optimal safety, so if it gets caught on fencing or branches during turnout, it will release rather than cause injury. The V-strap design also helps keep the muzzle secure during normal turnout while working with the breakaway system.

The large nostril holes provide superior airflow compared to traditional designs, allowing horses to breathe freely through the muzzle itself rather than around it. This makes it particularly comfortable for summer use and appeals to owners looking for a muzzle their horse can tolerate for longer periods without stress.

At $35.99, reviewers consistently called it a great value, with one customer noting it's "super" for the price and another saying it "does its job great and at a decent price." Multiple owners also appreciated the adjustability and fit quality compared to other muzzles they've tried, making it a cost-effective option for managing grass intake.
