I’m in love

"I ordered and received this saddle when my old favorite, being almost 40 pounds, threw my back out lifting it off of my horse. I sold that one to a friend, and immediately ordered this one. I contacted customer service to find out when it was expected to arrive, they were prompt, attentive, and courteous! The second I stepped foot in the stirrup, this saddle was a game changer. Fit my horse perfectly, swung it right up on her with no issue! So lightweight! I can’t recommend this saddle enough. Beautiful quality and workmanship. Thank you, Schneider’s!"

Nice saddle but not for me

"I was shopping for a very lightweight saddle. Although this one is much lighter than some all leather western saddles, it is still heavier than I can handle comfortably."

Excellent value for the money

"Finally. I can comfortably saddle my own horse without worrying about my back. Comfy, too!"

Nice entry level saddle for the money

"I purchased this saddle about a year ago and due to unfortunate circumstances have not ridden in it much. On the few times I did ride in it I found it very comfortable. That being said I have a very hard to fit 15. 2 HH 1100 lbs quarter horse type gelding. He has very high withers and actually takes an arabian tree. I have a Crates saddle that is my main saddle but it squeaks so bad that I wanted something that was hopefully quieter. This saddle fit him perfectly. It is attractive and seems to be decently made. The only complaints I have about it are the dye on mine is not real even and the leather was kind of stiff. Since I only trail ride in it the dye job isn't that big of a concern for me. After I oiled it a couple of times with Bick 4 Leather it softened right up and is now nice and pliable. The tie strap and off billet are extremely short. It seems that the saddle skirts are short or something weird. I had to buy a draft length tie strap in order to have enough length to secure it. I also needed to buy a longer girth."

Best Saddle Available for the $$$

"I'm getting older and have grown tired of pitching 30+ lb saddles just to hit the trail. I decided to sell my two heavy leather saddles and compromise a lightweight comfortable saddle for trail riding. I wish I hadn't waited so long. You get both with this saddle. A real upper leather combined with a nylon base skirt and leg flaps. It's perfect. Super light weight even after adding saddle bags filled with water bottles. I can now use a close contact pad and it fits my wide, withered, quarter horse mare. Straight out of the box, I saddled her up and we rode two hours. . . at a walk, jog, fast trot and lope. I was worried about knee and ankle comfort but the synthetic leg fenders turned back and fit my foot perfectly and didn't put stress on my ankle or knee. The leg flap that covers the underside rigging was smooth and low profile enough not to rub the inside of my thigh. For the price, you can't beat what this saddle has to offer. Full synthetic saddles look super cheap, this one doesn't because the upper is real leather. Very IMPRESSED. Even if a stirrup broke like others have documented, I wouldn't care, I'd go buy a different set of stirrups and keep on trail blazing. The price is amazing for what you get. All you need is your choice of girth and you are ready to go."

This saddle fitted both my and my horse's needs!

"I like the color, the styling and how light-weigh it is! The seat is fairly comfortable too! Most important to me was how it fit at the withers, and It fits my tall, high-withered horse very well! Saddle absolutely does not rub on the withers, even with my weight on the saddle there's at least 1"" clearance. The round skirt was another feature I needed as my gelding is rather short-backed, there's no worries about the skirt digging into his rump and sides, so I know my horse is very comfortable in this saddle. By the ways, this saddle is a bit ""small"" in appearance and thus would be a perfect fit for any smaller, Arab type horse."

Stirrup broke IN HALF after about 15 rides

"Bought this to use as a lightweight saddle to have for hubby who rides pretty rarely. Used it for maybe 15 rides and one of the stirrups split right in half in the middle of a ride. Luckily we were in the arena! Had the saddle for about a year and always stored inside. Could have caused a wreck, now I don't trust the saddle at all. Who knows what is going to fail next."
