How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"This sheet looks nice on my horse but sticks a bit and was a bit smaller in the shoulders than I was expecting. A drawback is that it doesn’t move nicely over his coat. I miss the sheets that had the mesh on the inside but I no longer see them offered. The straps fit pretty well and it seems pretty durable."
"Great quality for a great price. Fits my youngster well and it won’t be tragic if he destroys it. Planning on buying a second on."
"I have this blanket and now sheet combo! I love it! Now my horse looks all cute at night."
"This looks great for shows and is a reasonable price, cleans up nice and well made"
"This is a very attractive sheet, it is breathable but tougher & more shrink resistant than cotton. Usually the attractive plaids are more than I can afford. It’s designed to keep your horse clean at shows, but it also helps repel biting insects or to add a light layer away from home if it’s windy or higher elevation. (Like most single weight fabric sheets it’s of course not suitable for turnout, rain or cold temperatures). I get compliments on it from the boutique horse clothing shoppers, who think nothing of paying $400 - $500 per horse blanket & 40k or 50k per horse so there’s a bit of satisfaction in that too."
"Fits my 81' horse perfectly and is nice quality without a big price tag. Has padding at the withers and adjustable front straps. Added tail cord as I do not like leg straps. Thirilled with this purchase!"
"Always 100% satisfied with schneiders. They are my go to for amy horse and stable needs. Their blankets hold up and their embroidery services are great. 100% recommend."
"This is the second one of these I've purchases. The last one I sent with my horse when I sold him. These are great for those warm days when you just need something to keep the flies off your horse. My horse hates flies, so works perfect."
"Great fit! True to size."
"Great fit covers his belly doesn't pull on his shoulders and no gap by the front closures. He has very high withers so can be very hard to fit. He's a 17'1 Dutch WB. I bought him an 84."
