"After my horse suffered from an eye injury, I was told my horse should be in a fly mask 24/7. This is a great mask if the need to keep anything from touching your horses' eyes but does not offer much protection to prevent eye rubbing. That is the only reason for the 4 stars. Great mask otherwise."

"This summer I ordered a Rambo for the obvious reasons—flies. About a month ago, Charlie Horse sustained a corneal abrasion to his eye. He kept trying to rub it and it wasn’t healing, he needed additional protection so the medication would be effective. I used his Rambo Fly Mask 24/7 (without the nose piece), removing it only when I needed to administer the ointments several times a day. The band that keeps the mask standing off his upper head protects his eyes from contact even when he rolls. His eye was also dilated because of the Rx, and wearing the mask helped with light filtering, like a pair of sunglasses. It’s windy in Oklahoma, and the mesh buffered the airflow as well. With constant use, it was getting dirty and I ordered another one to change out. They are tough and hold up to scrubbing and washing. The velcro attachments are sturdy and quick to use. "This is the mask my mare wears all the time, not just in fly season. Hard rubbing by the horse can damage it beyond repair. That happened once but eye was OK. I am glad the Rambo Fly Mask is available. My 15. 2 Standardbred mare wears cob size Mask. It was sent right away and arrived really fast."
