Schneiders® Low Port Kimberwick Bit

The Schneiders Low Port Kimberwick Bit has a 5-inch mouthpiece with a 13mm bit diameter and a ¾-inch port height. This sizing is suitable for most adult horses and is a standard size for everyday schooling and training.

The mouthpiece is constructed from stainless steel, which is durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to maintain. Stainless steel is a popular choice for equestrian bits because it resists rust and requires minimal upkeep.

This bit is designed for horses learning the basics or for everyday schooling and training. The low port provides gentle pressure mainly on the bars of the mouth, making it suitable for horses that need consistent, reliable communication without excessive leverage.

The bit offers two different rein slot positions for leverage options: the top slot provides direct action with minimal leverage, while the lower slot increases pressure on the mouth, curb, and poll for horses needing more communication. This allows you to adjust the bit's action based on your horse's needs.

Yes, the curb hook and chain are included with the bit, so you have everything needed to use it right away. The curb chain works together with the port to provide the proper leverage and action.

Stainless steel requires minimal maintenance and is resistant to rust and corrosion. Simply rinse the bit with water after use and dry it, or wipe it clean with a soft cloth to keep it in great condition for years of use.
