The Back and Hip Pad puts 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared light across the whole topline, 48 inches from wither to croup and part of the SI, while your horse stands tied. Four LED boards carry over 200 diodes a side; two rechargeable battery packs stick to the pad with hook-and-loop, so nothing trails to the wall. Boards zip out for replacement, everything stores in the hard case, and the wrap and cords carry a 2-year warranty against defects. "I purchased this product for my horse who was diagnosed with kissing spines. I was using a smaller red light pad but needed coverage that went back to his SI joint and it became time consuming to move the smaller pad down his back multiple times for full coverage. This pad covers his entire back, from wither to just behind the SI joint and he loves it. As soon as I turn it on he completely relaxes and falls asleep for a 20 minute session. Since it fits securely with a neck strap, two hind leg straps, and contoured design, I can leave it on him in the grooming stall while I do other barn work and don't have to worry about it slipping. It is easy to use and comes in a very durable carrying case. Once I started using this product, there was a noticeable difference in how much more relaxed his back was and he is going better than ever. It is easy to use and you can set the battery packs from 5 - 30 minutes and Levels 1 - 4 in intensity. Each battery pack has a countdown timer so you can easily see how many minutes are left. This product is expensive but absolutely worth it for the results it produces."
