Key benefits

Durable, Breathable, and Protective Fabric

These fly boots are made from our most durable 1000D heavy poly/vinyl Dura-Mesh fabric that provides better airflow due to the open weave of the boots and 70% UV protection. The fabric offers insect protection that is best at protecting your horse from medium to large-sized flies, such as deer flies, greenheads, and horse flies.

Everything You Need to Know About Fly Boots

Non-Fitted Design for Extra Airflow

Non-fitted horse boots are designed to fit around the top and bottom of the boot to keep flies out while staying off the leg, allowing for airflow. These are a great option for all climate types. Since the boot stays off the leg and keeps flies away, some love to use this style if their horse is recovering from a leg injury. You don’t have to worry about these boots slouching, you’ll find that the full-length hook and loop closure down the cannon bone, flexible stays, and fleece-lined top and bottoms keep the boots upright during wear.

All About Durability

When you have a playful horse, it can sometimes feel like you’re constantly losing fly boots. So, next time your horse plays rough in the pasture, you can keep calm, knowing that their durable fly boots protect them.

Reviews

Best Buy

"Love these. They hold up to pasture time and stay up! In my third season!! Got another pair as back up, just in case (great sale price was a deciding factor as well) While other horses are stomping mine is munching away. And far less hoof chipping between farrier visits. 😊"

Great boots

"I got these for my standard size donkey because the flies eat his legs up. they are a bit big but they stay on and do the job! I wish there were more products out there for donkeys."

Pam P. (5/5)

Mesh fly boots

"Very well made. Fits well and the velcro holds well."

P B. (5/5)

Not as good a fit as I hoped

"I was hopeful these would stay up and be comfortable. My horse is 16. 3 QH. The horse size is too big at the bottom causing the whole boot to slide down. Within a week he stepped on the bottom and tore the velcro off about 4”. Going to try to sew it. Bigger legged horses it will probably fit better."

Pat B. (3/5)

Better but not perfect

"Seem to be better at staying up than other brands. But one already ripped because of the rubber tag"

Meredith R. (4/5)

Love these!

"Love these! Great fit - snug but rubber edging is soft so no constriction! Alfie has not torn them off so that’s a plus too!"

Catherine N. (5/5)

good quality for the price

"They are good boots the one drawback i will have to say is that if you aren't on perfectly at least on my donkeys legs they will slip off, but with the color they are easy to spot, maybe make the pony size a little smaller like width wise though, overall good boots."

Tamzen H. (5/5)

I was very happy with

"I was very happy with those boots. They’re the best fitting ones. I’ve had so far that the poop didn’t fall down in them. But a couple years ago I bought some rain sheets and they leaked right through so I just felt like I wasted my money on them"

Fly boot

"Great for keeping flies off legs"

Cynthia M. (5/5)

Great for DSLD Mare

"This is my second season buying these fly boots for a mare with DSLD. They seem to hold up, although by the end of fly season they are worse for wear; the plastic strips that provide rigidity get bent and the mesh starts to fray. Still, for the most part they stay up and do their job. I like that there is soft material at the top and bottom where it makes contact with her leg, and that they flex enough to not cause any rubs even with her incorrect morphology but still sturdy enough to make it through a season."
