Mosquitoe mesh fitted fly boots
"This was not my first set of fly boots. I literally have worn the first nearly out. I say nearly because they are still in use! I live in hot buggy Texas and the flies, mosquitoes and no-see-ums make summers torturous! Fly spray on the legs only lasts a short time and then my very sensitive horse is stamping his feet and swishing his tail to no avail. When I saw these mesh boots I thought my problems could be solved. The mesh is perfect, breathable for the hot climate and since the flies seem to prefer the lower legs…. . problem solved! No more stomping and tail swishing. A much calmer, happier horse. I keep them on, readjust in the morning and wash if they get muddy. The fly boots and face masks are a must for Texas summers. My horses can’t say it but their behavior does! Anne Gentry, Polo, and Butterbean"
They stay on . . :so far
"Had the loose fit ones (in S for Arab and M for QH) and a year of searching the fields every couple of days convinced me to try fitted"
The only fly boots that stay up
"I've been using these for a few years now and they are effective. The sizing is such that my TB horse is a M in the back and front. Initially, I had L in the back, and they slid down and he tore them up a bit (though they're still my back-up). Having 4 velcro pads allows a custom fit and they don't seem to bother my horse when they're on and hugging his legs. I have the light blue tho they also come in dark grey."
Still have not received them
"Terrible mailing service"
Do not stay up, do not hold up!
"I just got these this month. They don't stay up so after they slid down his legs, he's ripped the velcro tabs off of them and now worn holes in the mesh. These were a waste of money since they lasted about 2 weeks! I don't recommend them."
Don't stay up.
"I like these but they don't stay up all that well and my horse doesn't care for them and takes them off with his teeth, tab-by-tab."
They stay on
"These boots are great for my filly who won’t leave other fly boots on and keeps ripping them off and destroying them. Since this has 4 separate Velcro strips, she can’t get all four off so they don’t come off which is great. The only problem I have is sometimes they turn and appear to be uncomfortable with the front at the back."
My horse has four white
"My horse has four white socks and is deviled by flies more than my other horse. These leggings are effective and he tolerates them well. It’s a lot easier than spraying his legs with fly spray and works a lot longer. I take them off at night when the stable flies are at bay."
Great fly boots that stay on
"These have been very durable and stay on. I have experienced minimal sagging and occasionally they spin around, but my pony is hard on anything he wears. The puffy, non-reinforced fly boots that I have tried in the past (although not Schneiders brand) sagged terribly and came off all the time, while shoo flys gave him awful rubs. These have been a happy medium for us. We are on season 2 although I do rotate between two pairs. I have only used on front legs."
