Key benefits

The Best Insect Protection a Fly Boot Can Offer

The Mosquito Mesh® Fly Boot is made from a 350D extra-fine window screen mesh that provides playful draft horses the best fly protection against flying insects, such as gnats, mosquitos, and flies. The 40% UV protection keeps their legs safe in the sun, while the mesh allows for exceptional air circulation and doesn't heat up in the sun, keeping them cool and sweat-free.

Everything You Need to Know About Fly Boots

Non-Fitted Design for Extra Airflow

Non-fitted boots are designed to fit around the top and bottom of the boot to keep flies out while staying off the leg, allowing for exceptional airflow. These are a favorite for those who live in warmer climates. Since the boot stays off the leg and keeps flies away, some love to use this style if their horse is recovering from a leg injury. You don’t have to worry about these boots slouching, you’ll find that the full-length hook and loop closure down the cannon bone, flexible stays, and fleece-lined top and bottoms keep the boots upright during wear.

Made to Withstand Your Playful Draft Horse

The Mosquito Mesh® Fabric is made to withstand your playful draft. Since the flexible stays keep this boot upright, you can turn them out knowing they’ll be protected from biting bugs and stay comfortable all season.

Full-Length Reflective Side Panels

A full-length reflective side panel adds an additional safety element for low light and night turnout and trail riding.

Best fly boots ever

"I live in SC, the flies and bugs are horrendous. It's also very humid here and the other type of fly boots, like the stand up ones are too heavy, trap in moisture, and then the horse/pony develops skin issues under the boots, and the cycle begins. Not with these boots! They stay up, their legs are cool and they're durable. I use them on my 13. 2 hand Welsh pony every day and they're the best money I've spent for fly boots. Highly recommend! They're are others on the market, but they don't hold up like these. Money well spent!"

Best fly boots

"These boots were recommended to me by someone who has tried many different brands. She was right! These are the best fly boots. They stay in place and don’t sag down. The rubber band at the top and bottom make them comfortable for my horse and they definitely keep off the bugs! Don’t waste your money on any other brand!"

Catherine H. (5/5)

Love these!

"I love a lot of things about these boots. My horse developed an allergy to flies in his golden years. I love how these hug his leg while also not touching his leg. They. Hold up AWESOME! He has worn them all night a couple times by accident and they never fall down or come off! This will be a must have for me from now on!"

London D. (5/5)

Best fly boots!

"I bought one set, and went back online and bought three more! They blouse around the horses legs, and there are no pressure points or places they rub. And they have reflective tape which is awesome. 10/10!"

Jamie J. (5/5)

Best Fly Boots

"These boots are the only ones that stay up on my draft mare’s legs! They are light and breezy as well. She’s worn them for several months now with no damage to the boots. Very easy to clean as well- you just spray them with a hose."

ANAH L. (5/5)

IDK Yet

"I haven't put these on my horse yet. I'm sort of wondering if they are a good thing. Be interested in what others have to say about them."

Schneiders® Mosquito Mesh® II Non-Fitted Fly Boots

"These fly boots are sturdy and well made. I used them to protect summer sores from flys and bugs. They are easy to put on and take off. My horse had no problems wearing them in the Florida summer heat. They laundered very well. Highly recommend"

Won’t Buy Any Other!

"I have used Schneiders Mosquito Mesh II Non Fitted Fly Boots for years. Well, last year I thought I would try some cheaper ones. Just trying to save a few bucks. . Don’t remember what kind they were, but they didn’t even last one day! I had put them on my old 33 year old mare who does nothing but walk, When she came in for dinner that night those boots where down around her fetlocks and already wearing through the mesh material. I promptly wrapped them up and sent them back. I then ordered my old faithful Schneider Mosquito Mesh Fly Boots. I sure learned my lesson! Won’t be trying to go cheap when I find something that really works! Thank you Schneiders!"

VIKKI L. (5/5)

The best fly boots we have ever used.

"They fit well and are comfortable. No rubs. I wash them in a clean muck bucket and Dawn soap. They usually last 2 seasons in the harsh Arizona heat. Over the years I have purchased at least 20 pairs for 6 horses."

Schneiders® Mosquito Mesh® II Non-Fitted Fly Boots - Set of 4.

"I love them! I wanted fly protection that didn't didn't scrunch around his fetlocks, that didn't leave strap marks on his legs when I took them off and that I could wash and they would hold up. These checked all those boxes."
