Make a Washed Turnout Shed Rain Again

A ready-to-use spray that puts water and oil repellency back into a turnout's shell after laundering, and holds through more washes than an over-the-counter spray. Free of PFAS. One 32 oz bottle treats 3 to 6 blankets. Shake well; it separates on the shelf.
1
Repellency that survives the next wash
BlockAide™ bonds to the shell and lasts through multiple launderings and dry-cleaning cycles, 3 times the life of other over-the-counter waterproofing sprays.
2
Spray, hang, dry. That's the whole job
Launder and dry the blanket, hang it, spray the outside from 6 to 12 inches, and let it air dry. Re-apply when water stops beading.

5 to 10 ounces per blanket

4
No PFAS, no forever chemicals
Water-based and free of PFAS. Works on natural and synthetic shells, on any waterproof turnout gear. Made in the USA.

As always, Schneider's comes out on top for quality and consistency across products. Love being able to waterproof my blankets at home, without having to send them off for professional cleaning and re-proofing. Will definitely buy again when I'm through this bottle!

I first treated my horse blankets last year 2024. Those blankets were used throughout a Montana winter and the horses remained dry in various types of weather and conditions. I have chosen to use Blockaide again this year.

Does Not Work

"I bought two bottles of BlockAide and used them on turnout sheets and my rain jacket. I have not had a chance to test the turnout sheets, but it did nothing to waterproof my rain jacket. Not happy as now in November I need to re-waterproof everything."

— Beth (1/5)

Works as Advertised

"If you are looking to re-waterproof your blankets and sheets, buy this! I did 4 blankets and still have product left. Note: I also bought the blanket wash and cleaned the mid weight blankets before re-waterproofing."

— HOLLY W. (5/5)

Did not work

Blanket Waterproof

"Absolutely the best product to buy! Don’t hesitate to purchase!!!!"

— Demetria T. (3/5)

Worked great when I tested it

"The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I haven’t used the blankets after reproofing them. Spayed them with water after reproofing them and it shed the water like it’s supposed to. Schneiders always has top notch products so hoping this holds to their standards."

— Pamela S. (4/5)

This was the most useless

"This was the most useless product I've ever gotten from Schneiders. It was basically white gobs of gook and junk in the bottom of a spray bottle that appeared to be water filled. Shaking it up did nothing and spraying it onto a blanket did nothing either. Total waste of money. I got a better waterproofing product at my local tack shop that worked great."

— NICOLE L. (1/5)

Solid product: waterproofed all my

"Solid product: waterproofed all my blankets after washing! Clean, no spots left after spraying: does its job!!"

— Jenifer K. (5/5)
