"I no longer ride with saddles but my horse has rather high withers, not to mention when his silky summer coat comes in it’s like riding a stick of butter. When this pad arrived the girth was not with it and I was fairly upset because I wanted to use it so bad. I tried finding a cinch to use but nothing fit it. The customer service person I was snippy with was kind and understanding despite my attitude and because of her help my new girth arrived two days later! I got the girth before I got a shipping notification!!! I have to say…this pad kept me still on his back as if I had on sticky seat breeches! It smoothed out his withers for me and he seemed comfortable the entire ride! This will be the only riding tool I will ever use again! Do not hesitate to buy this! "My daughter has a hard to fit pFresian, so instead of a saddle, we're using bareback pads. One of our friends has a similar one to this & she loved it, so we bought one. My daughter loves it. It's easy to fit, even on her 16-2HH+ behemoth or my 15HH Curly. The suede-like seat area keeps you secure in all terrain. The tacky neoprene-like pebbles on the girth and underside of the pad keep the pad in place even on trails with sharp turns and many hills & ravines. She even did a Trail Obstacle Course in it. I like that it keeps her from getting overly exposed to his sweat and skin since she's allergic to horses. It could have a bit better wither/back shape to it though because it seems like it might bind at the withers. However, so far the horses aren't showing any signs of discomfort even after several hours riding."
