"My 1st girth of this kind lasted over 15 years. I used it every ride & rinsed it off every ride. Finally the rubber started to show slight cracks so I bought another one. Never had any problem with rubbing on the horse. As with rubber, do not leave it to dry in the sun. It will dry very quickly in the shade. Can't say enough good things about this girth."
