"I'm 5' 2" and not real athletic at 70yr old. This mount has been a great tool for me to get back on my 15. 2 horse while out in the woods. The attached cord makes it easy to retrieve once I'm mounted and it takes up very little room on my saddle for storage. I also bought the shorter version some years ago, but this taller one is best for me."

"I bought the tall stool and it is certainly good to have if there isn't anything else to mount from. I suspect it is uncomfortable for the horse when attached to the saddle though, since the hard plastic of the step hits against him at each step no matter where on the saddle I hook it to. Any ideas to reduce this impact would be welcome. Am looking for something I can attach to one side of the edge so a hard edge isn't bumping up against him. Also the string is pretty wimpy."
