The Dura-Tech® Verashim Fleece Lined 6 Pocket Shim Half Pad is designed to offer a custom fit for even the most challenging of horse shapes. This shimmable half pad eliminates wither pressure and does not restrict shoulder movement. It is made from a soft, durable, quilted cotton top and fleece with layered foam, wool felt, and crush-proof memory foam. The pad features six pockets and comes with three sets of varying shim thicknesses (18 shims total), allowing you to tailor the fit precisely. The cut-away wither design eliminates pressure and promotes free shoulder movement. With a center spine length of 23 1/2" and a side length of 25", this pad fits most saddles. It can be conveniently attached to saddle D's with small front hook and loop closure tabs. Machine washable and available in white, this pad offers both practicality and style.

"I love this shim half pad for fixing up small saddle fit issues. I don't have a tack room full of dressage saddles, so if the two I do have don't fit, but they're close, this pad is the golden ticket, Charlie Bucket! The other wonderful way you can use this shim pad is by filling in where you have muscle asymmetry or atrophy. For example: I have a gelding who had kissing spines surgery and after the physical therapy, his back looked extraordinary! When he went back into regular ridden work, he had some compensatory patterns and remembered pain, and he changed his strides. He developed a hollow place behind his right shoulder and this shim pad was wonderful for supporting him while he learned that his pain wasn't coming back! My only complaint is the lack of breathability, but I am willing to take the trade given the results!"

"Beautiful pad and packaging. I bought this for a swayback older horse and she seems happy with it. I was most interested in the seperate middle shims to avoid bridging with the saddle. I wish they were a little bit wider and I may end up cutting the seam between the back panel and midde. Overall beautiful pad at a decent price and would buy again."

Great for high withers

"I have used a lot of half pads and this is one of my favorites. My horse has a shark fin wither and the deep cut away wither allows the pad to sit where it needs to on the sides without creating top pressure on the wither. It also allows me to pull up the saddle pad underneath so it also does not apply pressure. Even when other pads are contoured for wither relief, they do not give quite enough clearance. The shims in this pad are just a bonus."
