Good for the money

"I purchased this halter for my son, a youth learning showmanship and halter with our 3yr old gelding. It looks great on and fits well but I would say it's got a slight flaw in that the top holes can't be used on mine on the crown because the hole is punched just below where the leather widens so the buckle won't go quite high enough without a real fight. It's a nice entry level halter and for the price, perfecly acceptable for it's purpose. Would have got 5 stars if not for the crown holes."

Dixie II Sow Halter

"Nice show halter and an excellent value money wise. The leather is a good thickness , not narrow or flimsy. The crown buckles are on the thin side with a thin edge so you need to be careful when putting it on that you do not scrape, cut or damage the crown strap when attaching . Another concern are the three ends for the adjustments under the chin, they stick out and are a bit cumbersome. At times they get caught up in the lead shank chain, something you don’t want to deal with or be concerned with in the ring. The lead is fine, has a nice chrome chain and the leather is thick with plenty of length. You need to be careful when adjusting the nose band the metal here is thin and so is the plating. I believe if you mess with it too much the plating may crack and eventually even peel. The sky blue accent stones set into the halter are obvious upon first view but when you adjust everything and put it on your horse for final adjustments WOW it all comes together. When my horse showed a couple of weeks ago I looked at a lot of halters on different horses some expensive some not, but this Dixie II Schneiders halter was outstanding. I was impressed with the overall value, quality and modern classic look of this very underrated product. I also believe if you take care of this halter and baby it a little you’ll get a lot of use out of it. Stefan DelGreco 😎"
