The unique one-strap fetlock design allows for an equally balanced pull towards the front to help better support from hyperextension. The 9mm thick fetlock bottom strap is also used for optimum support. They avoid design problems with other SM boots

"I love these boots! Their design avoids two major problems with traditional sports medicine boots, namely, torquing the ankle by having the under-ankle strap tightened on only one side and generating a lot of heat,which can damage the tendons. The under-ankle strap on these boots fastens on both sides allowing for equal support. And the boots are lined with a cooling mesh to reduce heat buildup. I would say they run a little small. The mediums just fit my medium-boned quarter horse. If your horse is between sizes, you should consider ordering the larger size."

Pretty good boots

"I got these since the horse i got had a former bow injury. These boots have very very strong velcro on them without a doubt! These seem like very good boots to very and I appreciate that theyre not terribly difficult to get on like some reviews ive seen for the iconolast brand. Additonally appreciate that they do have the x to balance the leg pull appropriately. These are my flatwork/dressage boots for my horse. I do recommend giving these a try."
