Aisle Guards

"I have purchased aisle guards from another company which did not work. They were comprised of straps and my busy body horse Woodrow was able to get past them into the barn! At times he would get his legs caught in between the straps causing him to struggle to get free. The Dura-Tech Aisle guard has solved all my problems. It is a safe alternative and this barrier keeps Woodrow from getting into the barn!"

Stiff clipps

"Good quality and size. Perfect for what I wanted. Draw back is the lack of ease in using the fasteners, they’re a bit stiff."

Debbie R. (3/5)

Good but needs stronger screweyes

"They went up easily but my 1500 pound gelding pushed through and sheared off one side of the screw eyes. I am replacing with much stouter ones"

Some Good, Some not so good

"Our horse broke through the aisle guard. I blame some of this on the attachments we did on the walls for the guard, but some of the snaps also broke. The guard may work well when it is positioned as a gentle reminder to not go a certain way. We over estimated it's ability to deter/contain, and under estimated our horses desire to seek hay. I think this is a good product if used appropriately. . . . which I think we did not do. Yes. . . . we are new to the horse loving world. No horses harmed and lesson learned!"

Great idea; here's a couple of things you might want to know

"I never even knew this was a thing until it showed up in my search for a stall guard. But I bought it and I really like it. I bought it to section off part of the barn so that for my one horse, whose stall is at the end of the barn, I could leave his stall door open and have it basically be a run in. He is a small horse who doesn't test things, and it's worked out great so far. A couple of things I would say that might be helpful: 1. If your barn aisle is 12 feet wide, be sure you are installing this thing exactly perpendicular to the aisle. My husband installed it on the 4x4 support posts, and he put it on one side of one post and the other side of the other post, so it's not exactly perpendicular, and it barely closes. 2. Maybe make it a little higher than you think you need. We learned, as soon as we installed it, that we'd rather duck and go under it to get to the back of the barn, than open and close it. You probably will too. So make it a little higher so that ducking under is easier. 3. I don't know if it says this in the description, but you have to put screw in eye bolts in, four on each side. You can only screw them into something that's pretty solid AND wood, like our 4x4 support posts. Overall the quality seems great and it's been super useful to us."
