"My horse loves to throw her hay and this feeder has really cut down on waste. I did have one of the poles completely fall off but Schneider replaced it immediately with a new one and I have not had any issues since. I would say they need to review the strength of the poles that the cover fits over, they wobble."
"Damage to one screw hold Screws for wall difficult with included wrench to place."
"The Top slides off and the whole purpose of this feeder is blown, However by drilling a hole through top of the post and sliding a pin with a round clip attached to hold it in place was the answer lid no longer comes off. Works well for the ponies. ."
"Best purchase ever. Have a friend ready to order 2 for her horses. No waste, feeding a horse and alpaca and works great. Definitely would recommend and would purchase again."
"Works good but the top gets knocked off somehow comes off the metal posts it slides down on. ."
"These feeders are great for preventing hay waste. Chunks of hay no longer end up in their water making it necessary to clean water buckets often. My only complaint is that one of the feeders was not square. The bend on one front corner was much deeper than the other side. It is still usable but the lid has some gaps as the lower part is not square."
"I am really loving these new hay feeders! We have SO much less hay waste! They are nicely constructed and only took a few minutes to install."
"I'm writing to thank Schneider for being so fair and professional. Unfortunately I couldn't use this product due to some design features. I talked to the customer rep and she said I could return the item. I had made some modifications trying to make it work for my horse. They accepted my return with no question. I will definitely buy from them in the future."
"I have a plump pony whose hay consumption needed to be slowed down. I've used nets, but he also has asthma, so I wanted him eating in the most natural position possible. Even though this is supposed to be in a stall, I took a chance and mounted it on the outside barn wall where there is a slight overhang to protect it from the elements with a stall mat underneath it. It has exceeded my expectations. It is super easy to assemble and install, it is fast and easy to fill(way more than nets), and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's very sturdy and well made and the posts that stick up are nowhere near his eyes and are nicely capped off. I am thrilled with it and think it's a great solution for my hay feeding issues!"
"this floor hay rack seems to be a good quality and should be safe to manage hay in the stall. I'm not fond of the two poles that stick up to hold the top rack as my horse could poke himself as he reaches down to eat hay, but I will put tennis balls on the top of the poles to ensure his safety. Otherwise, I like the size of the rack and all edges are rounded for safety and it is easy to assemble."
