Key benefits

The Fly Sheet With the BEST Insect Protection AND Airflow

This fly sheet is the best for insect protection and airflow. The 350D extra fine “window screen” nylon mesh protects against the widest range of biting insects, such as tiny gnats, mosquitos, and flies. It’s extremely breathable and stays cool in direct sunlight, providing 40% UV protection. The fabric withstands playful turnout, making this perfect for your horse to wear all summer with a 2-year warranty!

All About the V-Free® Wither Relief Fit

Our V-Free® Wither Relief fly sheets are designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on low to moderate-withered horses. With the larger neck opening and sloped neckline that covers the shoulders, this fit is designed specifically for draft horses who tend to have a sloped shoulder conformation. The drop on these sheets is longer than a stable sheet, allowing a slight wrap around the barrel. Darts at the hip form a contoured fit around the rump. V-Free® Wither Relief sheets begin where the mane ends, leaving the mane uncovered with fleece placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing rubbing.

Fly Fit Guide

Adjusta-Fit® Your Sheet for the Perfect Fit!

From the widest Warmblood to the narrowest Thoroughbred, our original Adjusta-Fit® system allows you to customize the fit of the neck opening to fit any horse. Whether your horse is wide or narrow or has a high or low head carriage doesn't matter. The Adjust-Fit® feature runs along the neckline of the blanket, so when in use, it lifts the front chest, pulling the blanket up into the base of the neck. It allows you to fit any width or head carriage, saving money and time when blanketing your horses.

An Open Front Design with Front Snaps for Easy On and Off

The open front option features double front snaps with new and improved wider hook and loop closures, allowing you to easily adjust the fly sheet for the perfect amount of “snugness” at the front of the chest. Plus, the snaps make it easy to put on and remove.

SilverTek® Lined Chest, Shoulders, and Tail

A breathable 70D SilverTek® Nylon lining has been included on the front chest, shoulders, and tail flap. This technology has proven antibacterial properties that reduce rubs, odor, and irritations that may cause your horse discomfort during the hot summer months. When it comes into contact with bacteria or other microorganisms, the silver ions are released from the fabric, distributing their cell membranes and interfering with their metabolic processes. As a result, growth is inhibited, reducing the number of bacteria on the fabric’s surface. This keeps your horse healthier and the fabric cleaner, even after extended use and wear.

Better Gusset Design for Additional Freedom

The reinforced gussets extend higher and more forward to allow a greater range of motion when your horse gets up from lying down, walking, or playing in the pasture.

Adjustable Surcingle for a Secure Fit

The criss-cross surcingle closure option adjusts to keep the fly sheet from sliding side to side. Brass-plated hardware comes with locking bands and detachable elastic leg straps for increased security.

SilverTek® Lined Extra-Large Tail Cover for Extra Protection

The extra-large tail cover protects from flies attacking the sensitive area underneath the tail. The added SilverTek® lining reduces potential hair breakage, keeping your horse’s tail fuller and looking better!

Reflective Stripes for Added Safety

For extra safety precautions, we’ve added highly visible reflective stripes on the flanks and tail for extra visibility in low light and night turnout.

Leg Straps Included

Set the sheet at the optimum snugness with the included detachable elastic leg straps that help keep the sheet in place. They adjust from 20" to 38" and stretch as the horse moves with double brass-plated snaps for easy on and off.

2-Year Limited Warranty

This fly sheet has been constructed with extra care and is under warranty for two years. Straps, surcingles, assembly, and hardware are guaranteed for the warranty term.

Reviews

I absolutely love the Schneiders

"I absolutely love the Schneiders Mosquito Mesh II V-Free Adjusta-Fit Surcingle Draft Fly Sheet! Finding a fly sheet that fits my 18.2-hand draft horses properly can be a challenge, but this one does a great job. It provides the coverage they need without making them feel too hot, and the breathable mesh allows air to circulate while helping protect them from those pesky flies and other biting insects. What really stands out to me is the durability. This is a well-made sheet that holds up to regular use, which is important when you have big horses out in the pasture. I appreciate the adjustable fit, too, because getting a comfortable fit on a large draft horse isn't always easy. My horses can enjoy their time outside with better protection from flies while staying comfortable, even during warmer weather. If you have draft horses and need a fly sheet that combines a good fit, breathability, and long-lasting durability, I highly recommend this one!"

"This fly sheet fit my 18.2 Percheron perfectly. It's lightweight and easy to clean."

— Audra S. (5/5)

Fly sheet

"Good fit. The coverage for my horses size is wonderful. This is the first place I have found that carries this large size."

— RITA O. (5/5)

Perfect fit

"First sheet I’ve found that fit right. Definitely worth the price. They hold up fairly well if you take care of them, but everyone knows drafts aren’t the gentlest with anything. I just wish they had a version that had the belly cover!"

— Cassidy T. (4/5)

Fly sheet

"Very good protection, but tail piece needs to be removable. Had to cut one off for my draft horse."

— PATRICIA B. (5/5)

Draft fly sheet

"This sheet is great quality. Fits my drafts well. Only drawback is that some flys are able to get under the sheet, and are then trapped there. Doesn’t seem to bother the horses, though. I think the flies are more worried about getting out that biting at that point."

— Charlotte N. (4/5)

Draft size Mosquito Mesh

"This Fly sheet works and fits exactly as described. I ordered a size 94' for my 19h Percheron mare who can't stand bugs. The V neck and front quick claps were what sold me on this particular brand, as a result my house has able to enjoy the outdoors more often. I live in Southern Virginia, where the bugs laugh at fly spray. . 😂"

— Sarah H. (5/5)

I have purchased a lot

"I have purchased a lot of fly sheets over the years for a variety of horses. I have found the mosquito mesh to be the best for every horse, no matter the breed, or size. It doesn't cling to them, lasts really well for at least 2 seasons, they stay cooler in it, especially dark horses as it blocks the sun their color absorbs, so wearing this they sweat less. Allows a lot of airflow while keeping bugs off the horse."
