The UltraFlex® Shoulder Ease Lycra Horse Slicker Hood is the perfect solution for keeping your horse clean of dirt, dust, and shavings and for keeping manes, braids, and bands lying flat. The 8.5oz 4-way stretch lycra material protects your horse's coat, providing over 90% UV protection. Unique features of this horse slicker hood include extra-large eye holes for optimal visibility, larger ear holes for improved comfort, and a high-quality fleece lining at the nose for added warmth. Plus, the zipper, chest strap, and new shoulder relief design ensure the best fit, keeping your horse looking and feeling their best.

This slicker hood also boasts an oversized shoulder cutaway design that helps alleviate any shoulder rubs or discomfort your horse may experience. The innovative design allows maximum movement at the shoulder point, allowing your horse to get up and down without any added stress on the slicker or shoulders.

The UltraFlex® Shoulder Ease Lycra Horse Slicker Hood also includes a 3/4 YKK zipper that runs from the mid-chest to the jaw, sewn closed at the base of the neck to reduce the possibility of the zipper splitting under stress from your horse getting up and down. The back of the zipper is lined with a soft web to reduce the chance of hair getting caught in the zipper. This design ensures that the hood stays securely in place and is easy to put on and take off while also being gentle on your horse's hair.

The center chest strap runs between the horse's front legs and slides onto the 2" elastic hook and loop belly closure, holding the slicker securely in place.

The nylon no-snag hook and loop closure on the nose, jaw, and girth provides a secure fit while reducing the risk of runs and snags that traditional hook and loop closures can leave.
