Zimecterin Gold 7.35g/ .26oz

Zimecterin Gold is approved to control 47 species and stages of equine parasites, making it the most comprehensive wormer available. It effectively controls large strongyles, small strongyles (including benzimidazole-resistant strains), pinworms, ascarids, tapeworms, bots, lungworms, and many other parasites. The combination of ivermectin and praziquantel gives it superior coverage compared to other brands.

One .26 oz. syringe of Zimecterin Gold treats one horse weighing up to 1250 lbs. The syringe has weight markings on the plunger, with each marking delivering enough paste to treat 250 lb of body weight, so you can accurately dose horses of different sizes.

Yes, Zimecterin Gold is safe to use in mares at any stage of pregnancy. For foals, you should wait until they're at least 2 months old before administering this wormer. Stallions can also be treated without any restrictions.

The recommended deworming program suggests using Zimecterin Gold twice yearly: once in May/June and again in November/December. This schedule helps maintain year-round parasite control and is ideal for rotational deworming programs to prevent resistance.

To administer, turn the knurled ring on the plunger 1/4 turn to the left and align it with your horse's weight marking, then lock it by turning 1/4 turn to the right. Remove the cover, insert the syringe into the space between the horse's teeth, and depress the plunger to deposit the paste on the back of the tongue. Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing to ensure proper swallowing.

Customers consistently praise Zimecterin Gold for its effectiveness and ease of use—many report their horses even seem to enjoy the taste of the paste. Vets frequently recommend it, and users appreciate that it combines comprehensive parasite control in a single product, making it a convenient choice for their horse's health maintenance.

Yes, Zimecterin Gold is FDA approved to effectively control tapeworms with a single dose thanks to its praziquantel ingredient. This makes it particularly valuable for a complete deworming program, as it addresses parasites that other products may not cover as effectively.

Each syringe contains ivermectin at a dose rate of 91 mcg per pound of body weight (200 mcg/kg) and praziquantel at 454 mcg per pound (1 mg/kg). This precise formulation ensures consistent, effective parasite control across horses of different weights, with the marked plunger allowing accurate dosing for each animal.
