An 8-ounce, 4-way stretch lycra hood that pulls on over the head, so there is no zipper or hardware anywhere near the face. Lays the mane down, keeps braids and bands neat and the face and neck clean. Pulls on, nothing to catch
The pull-over design leaves no zipper or hardware on the hood, so there is nothing to snag a braid or press on the face. The 8-ounce, 4-way stretch lycra stretches over the ears and settles smooth.

The lycra hugs the neck to lay the mane flat and hold braids and bands overnight, and keeps the face and neck clean before a class. UV protection greater than 95%.

"My family has only ever used Schneider’s slickers since before I was born. They’re the only ones with big eye holes so these are obviously a go-to for me. I like the color availability so I could match my new horse’s jammies to the rest of the barn. I will say though, this fabric seems different than what these used to be. I’d need to dig up my “old one” to be sure but it just doesn’t seem as silky smooth as they used to. Not a big deal but a tiny bit disappointing. The construction and fit is still Schneider’s classic quality though"

Kodachrome is a very large Friesian paint Cross and he needed a slicker to keep him clean prior to our shows. Fortunately, I found the perfect slicker that was comfortable and well-made at Schneider‘s. And the benefit was that it came with his nose band embroidered with his name. Koda looks stunning in his black slicker, and the best part is he stays clean, even laying down in shavings until Our shows the next day. (I wanted to add another photo but can’t figure out how. )"

Wanted to like this but….

"Was super excited when this arrived. Unfortunately the sizing chart wasn't accurate for my 17. 3 HN/TB. The article when fitted wouldn’t stay below the shoulders and behind the withers as designed … it would only creep up the neck. It would work great as an equine neckie :). Sent it back. I much prefer the design with the fabric secured between the legs with the surcingle clip that I’ve used on my other horses. On the positive side, it appeared to be made the good quality."
