Victor Supreme Training Split Reins with Scissor Snaps
"My horse tripped and broke the snap on one of these reins that belonged to my trainer. Ordered these as a replacement for her. The original reins were about 8 years old. So was able to compare the new with the old ones. What I ordered is, BTW, the 'exact' same named product as hers. The appearance - they look similar with 2 differences: 1) the leather is thinner, ergo will be less sturdy under stress/duress. 2) the length of reinforcing stitching at the snap end is shorter. So there are 2 areas in the craftsmanship that make these potentially less sturdy - lesser leather quality and saving some thread by doing less stitching at a reinforcement point. So I feel a bad not being able to provide this trainer/physical therapist with the 'same' type & quality of product as the damages item. To make up for that, I am now trying to find a leather worker that can repair the original."
