Classic Equine® Biofit Correction Saddle Pad 30x30

This pad is specifically designed for horses with high withers, muscle atrophy behind the shoulder, diminishing topline, or swayback. It's also ideal for older horses whose body structure is changing with age, as it provides the extra fill and support needed to prevent saddles from sliding backward or collapsing in the shoulder area. Many owners report success with senior horses and those requiring corrective saddle positioning.

The pad features strategic wedge placement that fills void areas along your horse's back, particularly building up the hollow areas behind the shoulders. This extra support at the front of the saddle helps level your saddle and prevents it from sliding too far back, which is especially helpful for horses with high withers or changing body structure.

The pad is constructed from a top-quality wool blend that provides excellent shock absorption and protection for your horse's back. The wool material helps distribute pressure evenly while offering durability and comfort during riding.

The Classic Equine Biofit Correction Saddle Pad is 30x30 inches with a 7/8-inch thickness. It features cut-over withers for greater gullet clearance and spine relief, which helps prevent pressure on the withers while maintaining proper saddle positioning.

Yes, this pad is highly recommended for high-withered horses. Multiple customers report that unlike other high-withers pads, the Biofit's contoured design and strategic fill provide ample clearance over the withers without creating pressure. Many owners describe being able to pull the pad up with plenty of room over the withers, which solves the common problem of pads rubbing against high withers.

The pad's contoured design molds to your horse's back shape, creating an optimized saddle fit that improves comfort and positioning. Customers report that the pad helps level the saddle beautifully and prevents it from rolling or sliding, which is particularly noticeable with saddle fitter-approved results.

Yes, one customer mentioned using a thin 1/4-inch felt liner under the Biofit pad without issues, suggesting you can layer additional protection if needed. However, keep in mind the pad is already 7/8-inch thick, so consider your horse's overall needs before adding extra layers.

While customers note the pad is pricey at $239.99, reviewers consistently describe it as worth every penny due to its quality construction and corrective benefits. The pad often solves long-standing saddle fit problems that other pads haven't addressed, and combined with fast delivery and excellent customer service from Schneider Saddlery, it represents a solid investment in your horse's comfort and saddle stability.
