Jolly Mega Ball 40"

The Jolly Mega Ball is 40 inches in diameter, making it a substantial toy suitable for most horse stalls and paddocks. This large size provides plenty of surface area for your horse to interact with, whether pushing it around or playing with it during turnout. You can use it both indoors and outdoors depending on your setup.

The Jolly Mega Ball features anti-burst design and can withstand pressure up to 2500 lbs, making it extremely durable for most horses. However, customer reviews suggest that while the ball itself is tough, purchasing the optional cover can significantly extend its life if you have a particularly aggressive or clever horse. One customer noted their horse lasted 4 months without a cover, while others with covers reported excellent longevity.

While the ball can be used without a cover, several customers recommend getting one if your horse is particularly playful or destructive. Reviewers mention that a cover provides added protection and helps prevent horses from damaging the ball seams or finding velcro closures to manipulate. If your horse is gentle with toys, you may not need it, but it's a worthwhile investment for extended durability.

The Jolly Mega Ball comes without a pump included, so you'll need to purchase one separately. One customer noted that while the ball is hard to blow up, it's worth the effort given how sturdy it is. A standard air pump suitable for large inflatable items should work for this 40-inch ball.

The Jolly Mega Ball weighs approximately 5¾ lbs, making it light enough to move around your property while still being substantial enough to withstand heavy horse play. Customers report that horses enjoy pushing and moving the ball around their space, which also provides enrichment and exercise.

Yes, the Jolly Mega Ball is specifically designed as a boredom breaker that provides exercise and helps relieve stress in horses. Multiple customers confirm their horses love playing with it and that it's particularly useful for horses that are playful or need additional enrichment. It's an effective tool for keeping horses mentally and physically engaged during turnout.

One customer successfully used the Jolly Mega Ball with a 2-year-old saddlebred who was quite rough with it, and it held up well to biting, kicking, and sitting. However, that customer intentionally kept it slightly less inflated than recommended to prevent popping. For younger horses, it's wise to monitor play and adjust inflation based on your horse's behavior.

Customer experiences vary depending on how aggressive your horse is and whether you use a cover. Most reviewers report the ball staying inflated long-term and lasting several months to years with regular use. One customer mentioned replacing their ball after their gelding damaged it at the 4-month mark, while others note the ball holds up well with proper care and remains their horse's favorite toy.
