These icing and cooling hock wraps ease swelling and soreness in your horse’s hocks whether you need cooling or icing action. Simply wet the hock wraps, ring them out, and place them folded in the freezer for 45 minutes before use. Although a freezer is recommended, you can also simply place the wraps in the cooler with ice and water and then apply them when needed, making these truly versatile boots. • Manufacturer Notes: If an area has been shaved for surgical procedures or for diagnosis, utilize some type of protective layer between the wrap and the skin. Always check with your veterinarian or your healthcare professional for recommended icing times. Remember, evaporation occurs naturally in the freezer. If products are going to be in the freezer past the recommended freezing time, place in an airtight bag. Always take caution when introducing new products. Make sure the application of the wraps is comfortable for the animal.
