Great Saddle Cart for transport to my vehicle and for saddle maintenance

"I love my saddle cart. It has storage below the saddle which comes in handy. The cart was easy to assemble and works great. I use it to move my saddle to and from my car and it is at a great height for cleaning."

A great purchase

"This little cart works great. It makes so much easier to get from the tack room to the tire rails to saddle."

Karen S. (5/5)

This is GREAT, but could use a few improvements

"I LOVE this saddle rack and grooming cart! I ordered one and immediately ordered another. Okay, so why not FIVE stars? Pros Makes it easy to have my saddle, boots, and grooming tools all together to wheel right out to where I tack up. No more running back and forth. The wheels turn easily - so far just on my cement barn floor, I haven't used it outside. The metal mesh round part for the saddle allows for air flow - nice during hot summer days. Cons Seriously Schneiders? Great design but no thought for a bridle hanger? It could be as simple as a T-bar handle, or T-bar welded on the handle. The instructions for putting it together are rudimentary enough to wonder "why bother" and not helpful if you do need help. Honestly, it's pretty self-explanatory. The only assembly required is the handle (2 screws, washer, nut) and the wheels (washers and nuts). Here's where I take issue with the design. 2 of the wheels swivel and are mounted on a flat plate and 2 of the wheels are straight and mounted on a pressed metal plate where each corner is curved. On my first saddle rack, I was able to use all but one of the washers on the pressed plate. On my second saddle rack, because the curves on the pressed plate were too tight, I was not able to use any of the washers, so it's just nuts mounted to the screws. Shouldn't cause an issue because they are nyloc nuts but a definite quality control or design issue. Also, in my first saddle rack there was a wrapped packed with the screws but no wrench. In the second saddle rack I received a sealed pack of screws with a wrench but one of the screws did not match the others - looks like they ran out and threw whatever in the bag - not a big deal, it wasn't one of the nyloc nuts, but at least it fit. Both times, the handle was easy to install - just slides into the metal tube but in both cases was so wobbly we ended up putting a shim in to keep it from wobbling around. Hint on the wheels: I tried both ways and it's much easier to steer if the swivel wheels are mounted on the end near the handle. I'm very short so the stirrups on my western saddle are fine but if you are tall and have longer stirrups, they will drag on the ground if you don't tuck them into the grooming box."

Maneuverable

"For you being able to get in and out of a trailer or just simply moving around the barn. This cart has the best wheel system for actually placing and moving around just those items you need for your horse ride."

Works perfectly to store saddle and gear

"I purchased this product during a visit to Ohio, and left the wheels and handle off, and it’s perfect to keep my saddle and gear contained, organized and stable in the back of my jeep. Would have given it a higher rating if the handle and wheels were either easily removed or foldable to go from car to barn with ease. Could use a cover for it to keep the metal from clanking as well. 1000% more stable and secure than the portable car saddle racks."

Rolling saddle cart

"I purchased this cart this summer and I have never looked back. It solved my issue with carrying my saddle to tack up area and not having a saddle rack to keep it on while I got my horse ready. I should have bought this several years ago. Worth every penny, even though it was very expensive. Very sturdy, wheels roll nicely, and my western saddle (which I keep in a padded saddle bag), sits on the cart nicely and does not reach the ground as I thought it might. The tray underneath is a nice touch for grooming supplies/helmet."

Challenging Assembly/Poor Quality Control

"I think I will like this saddle cart when I get over my annoyance over the assembly challenge. The cart arrived with no instructions and I did not at first realize that there were two different types of wheels. I assumed the rotating wheels go under the handle, but I was not sure. One of the studs that holds the wheel assemblies was not properly threaded and it took a long time and some ingenuity to thread the nut onto it. The handle fits loosely even when the bolts are tightened — it is not properly sized to fit snugly into its receptacle. This was not a good start to a saddle rack that is potentially just what I need!!"

saddle transport

"I haven't yet had a chance to use it much with our weather, but it moves well across rough ground, so that's promising. I'm older so was looking to avoid having to carry saddle and tack from tack room to paddock. The wheels are nice and large. I was disappointed there is no hook for the bridle. I will look into adding that on my own."

Recommend

"Just what I needed. Sturdy too."

Would not buy again

"It is way too loud. It is very sturdy and pushes well but it is so loud I can't use it."
