"Needed some real sheepskin covers to go on my gelding’s halter for a long haul. From what I hear it’s the best option to pad a halter to keep it from rubbing, but breathes the best and wicks away sweat. I didn’t really want to buy an entirely new halter with sheepskin on it either so this was a great option. These fit a halter super well. I’ve tried it on my full leather and I’ve tried it on a nylon. Great on both but leather is probably going to breathe better. the velcro is strong and sticky so I don’t think I’ll have to worry about losing any pieces. They’re very well made. I’ll definitely buy more as needed"

Best for smarter horses

"Ok so total truth here: I have always wanted one of these for my horse's halter. I always thought they looked super cool and it made a horse seem so fancy . Little did I know, that it takes a very special horse to wear something like this. You see, some horses, in particular my giant beefy Hanoverian, have never ever seen one of these up close and personal. And so the day I proudly ran up to him with it attached to his leather halter, he looked at me like I had a monster in my hand and promptly snorted and ran as far away into the pasture as he could get. There was no amount of cajoling or carrots that would allow it on his big eye-bulging head that day. After about ten minutes of attempting to reason with him, I dejectedly walked away horse-less. He was having none of it. Upon the suggestion of a friend, I decided to let said horse acclimate to the horrifying halter at his own pace by hanging it up inside his stall and paddock so he could work himself down on his own terms. This was sage advice. After a week, he decided the freaky animal was no longer a threat to his life, and he allowed me to make another attempt at haltering. This was a success! And now I can oooh and aahhh over him when he parades around wearing it. So in summary, I LOVE how it looks on my horse! But a word of caution to those who have over dramatic horses in their lives: take it slow. ;)"

Love these sheepskins

"I have race horses that go on an automatic walker everyday. Leather halters break too easily so we use nylon. These sheepskins prevent rub marks from pulling on the walker. Great for trailer use also."
