"Pros - excellent design and hardware. This surcingle will be very useful to me. Cons - I would rather have paid more money and gotten real harness leather, rather than the Indian buffalo leather. I would also prefer the padding for the horse's comfort be wool stuffed rather than the dense foam that is also narrower than the wool stuffed padding in most surcingles. And last but not least it states clearly on the website that it's meant to be used with a western cinch, however the latigos are punched with such small holes that I had to actually dig out a hammer punch, because none of my hole punches would go big enough for a western cinch. A pretty time consuming project when whoever is making it has to punch holes anyway, they may as well be the right size for the use."

"Very solidly made, excellent piece of equipment for the price point! Leather will require conditioning to soften and break in prior to use, as it's India made and not English leather⠦⠦but it's also not $350, so overall, I'm pleased with it! Latigo straps are punched with very small holes spaced far apart. Plan on customizing those with a hole punch."

"After reading the reviews I excited to get it for my yearling. Sadly, I was instantly disappointed and disgusted with my purchase when I opened the box. It's ugly, made of cheap cardboard leather, and glued together in places that didn't even hold through the manufacturering process. Complete garbage."
