The tab is a great
"The tab is a great thing to have on hand when you own a breakaway halter. The one being used will inevitably get busted when the horse does something silly, and I’ve been caught without backup tabs before. Make sure you get a few of these, you won’t regret it! Sometimes they don’t even break, and the Chicago screw just pops through the hole, so it can be used again. I would buy these again, especially since I don’t have local tack shops that carry their own tabs."

"These were easy to use to replace the broken break-away tab on my horses halter. That being said the leather on these tabs is not very thick. I know they are supposed to be break-away, but I think these may be too delicate for my big warm blood. One good spook on the cross-ties or lead line might be just enough to snap this leather tab. Also, add daily rinsing after a workout and I believe these will not have a long life, good thing I purchased 3."

"We all know - stuff happens. Especially with horses. These breakaway tabs extend the life of the halter by years making it possible to replace and reuse. They are simple to use and very affordable."
Good basic halter with bonus padding
"Got this for my Arabian and it works great. It seems durable. The padding is nice but makes the strap a little thicker, making the tongue to the buckle a little harder to get in and out of the holes. The more I use it, the easier it is getting as that padding is thinning down a little. The break away strap seem a little flimsy as well but it also seems to be holding up so far. Doesn't feel like the highest quality halter I've had but it is working just fine for basic leading from stall to pasture etc."
