Schneiders® Dura-Tech® Extra Tall Gel Cooling Leg Wrap

These gel cooling leg wraps are 25 inches tall and 21 inches wide, making them tall enough to treat your horse's entire leg from above the knee to above the hock. Customers with tall horses like 17-18 hand Warmbloods and hunters report that these wraps reach all the way down to the coronary band, which is why many choose them over standard cooling wraps.

The gel-filled cells stay cold for hours when applied right out of the freezer, with customers reporting they stay cold approximately twice as long as some other ice boot options. For extended use, many owners keep them in a soft-sided cooler bag with ice to maintain the cold temperature throughout the day.

These wraps are made with a durable 420-denier outer material and feature gel-filled cells inside that conform to your horse's leg. The wrap is secured with elastic hook and loop straps and has a flared bottom that covers the hoof for complete leg coverage.

Gel cooling leg wraps are ideal for treating soft tissue injuries and trauma, as well as preventing heat and swelling after exercise. Cold therapy helps reduce inflammation, decrease pain, and slow down the inflammatory response that can damage tissue after an injury—customers particularly love using them after jump schools, shows, and intense workouts, or in cooler weather when hosing isn't practical.

Yes, customers report that these wraps stay securely in place thanks to the elastic hook and loop straps, even when left on for extended periods. At 25 inches tall by 21 inches wide, these are substantial wraps, so it's important to measure your freezer or cooler before purchasing to ensure they fit. One customer specifically recommends checking your freezer space, as standard home freezers may require creative storage solutions.
