Key benefits

The Best Insect Protection a Fly Boot Can Offer

The Mosquito Mesh Fly Boot is made from a 350D extra-fine window screen mesh that provides playful horses the best fly protection against flying insects, such as gnats, mosquitos, and flies. The 40% UV protection keeps their legs safe in the sun, while the mesh allows for exceptional air circulation and doesn't heat up in the sun, keeping them cool and sweat-free.

Everything You Need to Know About Fly Boots

Non-Fitted Design for Extra Airflow

Non-fitted boots are designed to fit around the top and bottom of the boot to keep flies out while staying off the leg, allowing for exceptional airflow. These are a favorite for those who live in warmer climates. Since the boot stays off the leg and keeps flies away, some love to use this style if their horse is recovering from a leg injury. You don’t have to worry about these boots slouching, you’ll find that the full-length hook and loop closure down the cannon bone, flexible stays, and fleece-lined top and bottoms keep the boots upright during wear.

Made to Withstand Your Playful Horse

The Mosquito Mesh® Fabric is made to withstand your playful horse. Since the flexible stays keep this boot upright, you can turn them out knowing they’ll be protected from biting bugs and stay comfortable all season.

Full-Length Reflective Side Panels

A full-length reflective side panel adds an additional safety element for low light and night turnout and trail riding.

Quality reduced

"Have been buying these ever since they came out in 2017. Loved them until this year. Would last about 4 years! Told others to make sure to buy SSTack & not the cheap ones. Last year I bought 2 sets of the grey ones! Have used both once and the stitches are coming loose! No longer worth the price!"

Best fly boots ever!

"These are the best fly boots hands down!!! I love the lightweight design and the micro mesh that keeps insects at bay. Added bonus…. no more cleaning poop out of fly boots!!!! Love the closed boot design. All others allow insects into the boot from the open design. Another bonus is that he always has them on. The Velcro is so strong that I don’t have to go hunting in the fields for fly boots any more! Maybe make some other colors!"

Teresa D. (5/5)

The very best!

"I have tried every fly boot on the market for my stabled horse and pasture horse and these are by far the best boots out there. The mosquito mesh and design keep bugs and poop out. They have no plastic stays that pop out over time and cut. Airy & nice"

KATHRYN E. (5/5)

stays on and great light weight protection

"I love how lightweight they are and how they protect against all flies and mosquitoes but they do come apart from the velcro seams and the mosquito mesh isn't very hardy. The product could be a lot better if the velcro seams were more heavy duty and reinforced"

Sam (3/5)

Best fly boots ever

"I live in SC, the flies and bugs are horrendous. It's also very humid here and the other type of fly boots, like the stand up ones are too heavy, trap in moisture, and then the horse/pony develops skin issues under the boots, and the cycle begins. Not with these boots! They stay up, their legs are cool and they're durable. I use them on my 13. 2 hand Welsh pony every day and they're the best money I've spent for fly boots. Highly recommend! They're are others on the market, but they don't hold up like these. Money well spent!"

Still haven’t received

"I ordered several items from Schneider and when I called to find out tracking it turns out they are still waiting for the third item. No reach out, apology, or anything else. I understand delays, but not a lack of communication. I have 2 items that could ship now apparently, but instead Schneider’s default on delays apparently is to do nothing."

Best fly boots

"These boots were recommended to me by someone who has tried many different brands. She was right! These are the best fly boots. They stay in place and don’t sag down. The rubber band at the top and bottom make them comfortable for my horse and they definitely keep off the bugs! Don’t waste your money on any other brand!"

Catherine H. (5/5)

Love these!

"I love a lot of things about these boots. My horse developed an allergy to flies in his golden years. I love how these hug his leg while also not touching his leg. They. Hold up AWESOME! He has worn them all night a couple times by accident and they never fall down or come off! This will be a must have for me from now on!"

Schneiders Fly Boots

"Tried multiple brands but these have out lasted all, my gelding normally goes thru fly boots within weeks but these have lasted him all last season no issues would recommend highly"

Kim D. (5/5)

Best fly boots!

"I bought one set, and went back online and bought three more! They blouse around the horses legs, and there are no pressure points or places they rub. And they have reflective tape which is awesome. 10/10!"
