Very comfortable

"This is a nice, comfortable, thick saddle. Much thicker than a regular bareback pad. Feel like a full saddle. Fits a swayback horse where others don't. Stays where it belongs. Comfortable for the horse and rider. Very light weight."

Light weight and comfortable

"This saddle excels as a lightweight and comfortable option, presenting a generally well-constructed appearance. The robust Velcro and secure buckles effectively fasten the saddle components. I particularly appreciate the combination of an English-style saddle with Western rigging; I found that endurance rigging was essential for achieving an optimal fit on my horse. If you are experiencing issues with the saddle sliding, I strongly recommend exploring the use of endurance rigging as a potential solution. Typically, I ride in a 15. 5 Western saddle, which, when translated to English saddle sizing, equates to a 17. 5. Consequently, I ordered the large size, however, I am finding that I need to size up because my knees are currently positioned on top of the knee rolls. The most significant drawback I've encountered pertains to the saddle material, as it has a tendency to attract a substantial amount of debris. This debris consistently gets stuck to the saddle, leading to irritation on my legs and making it quite difficult to remove. Regular brushing proves to be ineffective in this situation; I find myself having to manually pick out the pieces, which adds an unnecessary level of hassle to my riding experience. While the stirrups themselves are adequate, I must note that adjusting their length can be a source of confusion. In summary, I am rating this saddle a three out of five, primarily due to the problematic material characteristics that I've experienced."

Very light weight and managable

"I purchased this saddle primarily for its lightweight design, and it has met my expectations. Its portability is remarkable; I can lift it with a single finger. The saddle is exceptionally comfortable, and its treeless construction accommodates my horse's conformation effectively. I appreciate the versatility of the saddle, as it can be used with either Western or endurance-style rigging. The stirrups are made of plastic, but they appear to be of acceptable quality. I initially purchased a large size, as I typically ride a 15 to 15. 5" Western saddle, but I found that I need to size up, as my knees tend to rest directly on top of the generous knee rolls. My main concerns are related to the material. It has a tendency to attract debris, such as leaves and twigs, which frequently become lodged beneath my legs. Furthermore, any foreign materials, such as hay, are difficult to remove once they come into contact with the saddle. For my horse, the saddle requires endurance-style rigging to prevent it from sliding backward. Unfortunately, the provided nylon cinch straps are too short for this configuration, necessitating the purchase of longer replacements. The off-billet also needed to be replaced. It would be beneficial if a longer tie strap was included, as this would have reduced the number of necessary purchases. The stirrup adjustment mechanism is somewhat cumbersome and challenging to manipulate for precise length adjustments. I have not yet washed the saddle, so I cannot comment on its washability. However, I observed that the Velcro closures have a very strong hold and I anticipate that they will be durable over time."
