Prevent rubbing and chaffing
"The blankets stay on for winter. Some days blankets are doubled depending on temperature. On the elasticized leg straps, they are crossed and can possibly chaff the legs. The covers themselves shorten the straps considerably, so loosen the blanket straps out a good 6-8 inches. Place your covers over the buckles. Washable. They stay on tightly and do not move from the original spot once locked on over the buckle. I would purchase one for every blanket, but they aren't affordable."
