How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"My horse stays outside 24/7 so I feel confident that he stays dry and warm on the extra cold days we have here in Texas. It fits him well and is very well-constructed. I've had it a couple of seasons now and it still seems brand new. No tears or excessive wear and tear. It's a nice-looking blanket too and fits him well. The sizing seems standard. "So I gave this blanket four stars-it’s thick and comfy for my horses-love the attached neck. Actually that’s the only kind I buy because add on necks never work- always a space where rain gets in. The fit is good on my Appaloosa and my Thoroughbred except for the neck. , which is why I didn’t give it five stars. The neck in the picture goes all the way up but in actuality, the neck only goes up part way, leaving my horses necks quite wet. So, overall, a very good blanket but not perfect."
"While the blanket on the outside has held up well, some minor things that just don't work. The width of the neck is to small at the top so the 2 straps don't hold well enough to stay put so they are always left hanging. the inside has gotten tore up quite a bit on the neck liner from these straps coming undone. The top strap doesn't connect at all and is always left undone so more than half the time the neck cover is flipped back and unusable."

I have one on a 4 year old that is pretty hard on stuff and he somehow managed to rip it on the inside. He's by himself so I'm sure he rubbed it on something.
