I have a Shetland pony

"I have a Shetland pony - 38" and bought both a mini and pony size muzzle as her measurements were more fitting to a mini size but she fits better in the pony size. I really like the option to customize it to fit her face and so far so good that she hasn't lost it in the pasture. Our only problem with any muzzle is that she ends up making the opening bigger on her own. Lets see how long she keeps this one intact!"

Does its job great and at a decent price!

"My favorite type of grazing muzzle and we Have been through a bunch of different types for my horse with chronic spring and fall flare up laminitis and equine metabolic syndrome! I have the one with the snap on it instead of velcro. These are not expensive and for the most part durable(my horse is pretty hard on them and she can’t get this one off! Plus the larger holes for nostrils means she can breath easier when it is scorching hot here in the south! She wears one quite a bit so we go thru 2 a year but for the price are worth every penny to keep her healthy! I have ordered this one again for this year and another that is the same thing but with fleece so will review that one later."

I am returning both and am disgruntled

"Sizing is all off--I ordered a Horse and a Large Horse, and not only were they labeled wrong, I couldn't really see any difference in size. Had to measure them--that's how I figured out they were labeled wrong. And. . . the best part. . . the grazing hole is too far forward and the poor beasts can't eat at all. I thought maybe I had the nose straps too tight, but even loosened to the maximum, that grazing hole sat too far forward. No wiggle room at all--these things fit like the mask on Hannibal Lector, even on my smallish thinner 1000 pounder. Plus, like every other grazing muzzle, you've got to duct-tape them to the halter. Those silly straps they bill as extra security don't do anything. My smaller mare got the whole contraption off with no problem."

My favorite grazing muzzle

"We were desperate to find a way to limit pasture intake for our Morgan gelding. He was starting to develop an issue with insulin levels and had to find a way to reduce spring grasses. We have tried others, but this is the best for fit and comfort. The cross straps up from muzzle help stabilize halter. I have my horse wear a pull on face Stretch Bug Eye Horse Fly Mask with Covered Ears, to help with any rubbing that might occur. I go through 2/summer, my guy is Hover in the pasture. Hope this helps folks."

Finally a muzzle that fits and doesn't rub

"I tried every other muzzle on the market last year and they all rubbed or broke and I couldn't leave it on my Friesian gelding without damage to his chin. So relieved that this muzzle fit and the shape of the basket suits his face. When it arrived I stuffed the basket with towels and kept it in the hot car to open up the round shape of the basket before fitting the adjustable straps to his face. He was frustrated wearing it fir the first hour until he figured out the other horses couldn't pull it off and he could graze in the longer grass. He was content overnight with no rubs. He can breathe as the holds are the same size as his nostrils. I will be ordering more as a back up."

Good design, poor quality

"This muzzle has a good design. The downfall is in the rubber quality where the grazing occurs. It lasted for only one season before the whole bottom of the muzzle was completely torn apart"
