Choosing the Right StormShield® Turnout Blanket or Sheet

StormShield® is one of our most popular turnout lines, built to hold up to daily turnout while keeping your horse dry, warm, and comfortable. Choose the Classic II for dependable everyday protection, or the Extreme II for a tougher fabric and longer warranty when you need extra durability.

The Classic II is made from 1200D Ripstop Polyester and backed by a 1-year warranty, with the widest range of color choices in our turnout lineup. The Extreme II steps up to a heavier 1680D Polyester fabric with a 10,000mm waterproof rating, backed by a 2-year warranty for tougher, more rugged use.

Both lines feature a Teflon® coating that repels water, oil, and stains while drying faster than untreated fabric, without adding bulk or sacrificing breathability. A wider, one-piece body construction means fewer seams and fewer places for water to leak in, reflective binding threaded through the entire edge helps keep your horse visible in low light, and a wider front hook-and-loop closure makes putting the blanket on and taking it off quick and easy.

Choose the standard Contour Collar fit for everyday turnout, or step up to a High Neck or Attached Neck style for extra coverage around the neck and mane in the coldest, wettest conditions.

Classic II is available in lightweight, medium, and heavyweight fill, plus a sheet with no added insulation. Extreme II is available in medium and heavyweight fill, plus a sheet.

Classic II also comes in fun Limited Edition prints and a reflective option with a full-body reflective print for maximum visibility.
