How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"Very nice blanket. I love the front Velcro and clip on hooks. So much better than a buckle. Belly wrap is good too, because it adds warmth under his belly and helps the blanket stay on. What I don’t like, are the leg straps. Seems like all blankets have leg wraps that don’t work good. I have mine as small as I can get it and it loosens up too much it’s hanging by the next day. Otherwise great blanket."

"I bought this sheet about a year ago for my draft cross gelding. It fits him great and has a decent drop on the sides which is great for chunkier horses. I love Schneider's blankets because you can get a great deal on a quality product, especially when they have sales going on. Plus, I love that they offer different warranties/guarantees on their blankets. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because the stitching on the rubber triangle by the shoulder ripped one of the first times my gelding wore the sheet. He gets himself into some sticky situations, so who knows what he did. The waterproofing wasn't impacted at all, so I didn't file a claim for a new blanket."
