Designed with a Contour Collar Euro fit, this blanket accommodates both sloped and upright shoulder conformations and is well suited for horses with a low to flat shorter wither, balanced muscle tone, and smoother, flatter topline appearance. It may also suit horses that are slightly downhill, where the hindquarters sit higher than the wither.
Made with no back seam to guard against leakage in the rain and snow, with fleece at the wither for extra comfort and protection against rubbing.
Bellyband closure provides greater coverage and protection from the cold. Hardware is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking while your horse is lying down, and the rear surcingle includes a stretch panel for more give as the horse moves, since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug and flush to the belly. Comes with locking bands and elastic leg straps for increased security. Brass plated hardware resists corrosion from water, manure and detergents.

How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"This blanket has to be, by far, the BEST fitting blanket I have bought in probably over 15 years. The front closure comes up HIGHER and closes way better than other blankets. Each of my girls have their own colors and I have been trying to find these blankets for my other two horses. The horse that I bought it for, literally got her bottom teeth and jaw caught in the front closure of her previous blanket. She panicked, fell, got up and had her head held high up, pulling it tight on her jaw. When I got to her and was able to calm her enough to undo the front closures she had ripped the entire front of the blanket and the sides of her mouth were bleeding a little. The old blanket could not be tightened enough and hung too low on her chest with too much gap. This new blanket (same size as the previous) comes up higher and closes so much better with way less gap. I normally get 2-3 years out of each blanket and try to keep two on hand for each horse. I'm hoping to buy more of them."
