A warm bath for your horse without a water heater, a plumber or a wait. Connect a hose and a 20 lb propane tank, press the igniter, and the Insta-Hot® Original heats water as it flows, up to 40°F warmer than the tap at up to 1.4 gallons a minute. Two knobs set gas and water. A tilt switch and a 20-minute idle shut-off look after the burner. At 10 lb it hangs on a wall or rides the Easy-Up® Insta-Hot Cart to the show, and one tank runs up to 18 hours. Bathe, rinse legs, warm a winter bucket. Outdoor use only. Drain it after cold-weather use and store it warm and dry.
System Requirements:
NO MORE COLD BATHS! The Insta-Hot® Original Portable Washing System allows you to give warm baths anywhere, anytime, and in just a matter of seconds! It’s an inexpensive, easy, and portable solution for safer, stress-free warm-water horse bathing.
The Insta-Hot® Original requires a minimum of 20 PSI water pressure to run correctly. The safety tilt feature will not allow the unit to ignite if the unit is not 100% upright. Requires (2) 2 D batteries (not included). The unit should be stored in a dry and protected environment when not in use, drained completely and lines blown out before exposed to freezing temperatures.
You can use any standard ½” or ¾” horse with the unit (larger diameter hoses decrease the pressure more). Any standard hose nozzle can be used, but we recommend a brass twist hose nozzle due to pressure to the unit.
Note: Our units have been tested up to 2,000ft above sea level, and we only recommend using them below 2,000 ft for maximum performance. For every 1,000ft above the recommended 2,000 ft, there will be a 10% decrease in efficiency and performance.
The warranty takes effect on the date of installation of the product, or 30 days after the date of purchase, whichever occurs first, and is effective until the specified anniversary of such date as follows: Item period of coverage: heat exchanger 1 year, all other and included accessories (shower head, hose, regulator, etc. 30 days). Warranty is void if permanently installed or left fully undrained and if pipes freeze and crack. Need replacement parts or repairs? Call EccoTemp at 866-356-1992.
The Insta-Hot® Original is not designed for freezing temps. To avoid cracked pipes, bring your unit inside and drain pipes by making sure the drain valve is open. You will also need to unhook the out-going water line to make sure the water is drained from the heat exchange unit. Insta-Hot® Rapid Freeze Fix can be used to prolong the life of your unit and “fix” cracked pipes temporarily.

"I really wanted to like this unit, but unfortunately it leaked from the hose attachment shortly after I got it and then after about a month the pilot light won’t stay lit to keep the water hot. It a lot of money for something that is not holding up well."
"Best money spent for a horse product. I have owned one for 16yrs. Absolutely love mine! I wash all my horses at home and haul it to the shows. It is a must have piece of equipment for me."
"Great for the wash room that doesn’t get used every day. Instant hot water and a built in drain to prevent freezing."
"My husband attached our heater and LP tank to an old hose real wagon we had here in the farm and now I can move it around from house to barn and anywhere my hose will reach. I have used this set up for 2 seasons now and our horses LOVE the warm water. No more dancing around from the cold well water."
"Works great!"
"Bought the 1st one when it worked it was great, but the battery holder kept popping out, reached out to manufacture they said that wasn’t normal and I must have done something to break it. Stupidly bought another one same thing happened, no help, no refund, no response from them. Cheap plastic clip does not hold"
"Insta Hot does not fit the cart that was sold with it. Bracket at bottom is to small to except mount from cart."
"Love these systems!! This is my second one. They work so nicely. My horses and dogs appreciate the warm water and it also works great for tack cleaning!!! Just make sure you winterize properly before the cold snap hits!!"
"When i use it at home on city water pressure it is great. My barn has an older pump that does not have steady pressure, so the heat will go out and water will be cold, i have to re light it every so often. ALSO, how the heck do you drain this thing for winter storage?! There is no info in the booklet, and i cant find info online"
"I have the Instahot Pro on the cart and it’s pretty easy to start up and use. Great for rinsing horses down in any weather with the adjustable temperature. They really appreciate the gentle stream of warm water, especially after being rinsed with ice cold well water. I would often not hose them because of the chill, but now can get their dirty and sweaty parts clean without them fidgeting and giving me the stink eye."
